This two page program has been developed to support children/students who find it difficult to write fast and form letters due to difficulties with shoulder stability and finger strength. Generally these difficulties affect pencil control, poor hand eye coordination (visual motor integration) which ultimately affects letter formation.

This program explores hand preparation exercises, exercises and activities to develop muscle strength in shoulders and fingers and activities to develop letter formation and identification.

This program has been developed to provide parents, carers and teachers to understand sensory needs as well as provide various sensory activities for implementation across home and school environments. This program has been developed collaboratively by an Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist and School Counsellor to incorporate skill development opportunities for students.
