How to Integrate Mindfulness into the K-5 Classroom
By Lara Hocheiser
Imagine an academic year where students and educators alike grow, learn more about themselves and others, integrating mindful activities seamlessly throughout the school day.
Imagine a classroom that is regulated, calm and present.
Everything you need in one product.
When practiced regularly, witness improved behavior outcomes, social skills, and overall social-emotional development of students.
We know you don’t want to have to learn another initiative.
We know you want something that works.
We know you don’t have a lot of time to spare.
Believe me, working in schools the past 17 years has taught me that educators need proven techniques that they can use simply.
We have your back and we understand the pressures of time, testing, busyness, distraction, and stress!
If you can do a little each day for yourself and your class, you will see the shift happen.
What does the shift look like?
It's returning to focus with less drama and emotional outbursts.
It’s putting a pause between impulse and action...in other words, self-control.
It’s freeing up your time from behavior management to connect with students.
It's easier transitions.
It’s learning along with your students, growing together.
It's your students feeling your love and presence.
How to Integrate Mindfulness into the K-5 Classroom is a comprehensive and practical mindfulness resource written specifically for children in grades K-5 and their teachers. Explore how mindfulness can improve self-regulation, self-awareness, autonomy, and social awareness in the classroom. Blended with proven research and best practices, this manual contains tools enabling teachers and students to build key skills like focus, compassion, and self-acceptance through mindfulness.
Reduce Stress and Anxiety in the Classroom
Research has shown positive outcomes when we practice mindfulness. Mindfulness is proven to reduce stress and anxiety in both teachers and students alike. In the classroom, mindfulness promotes calmer students and improves both social-emotional and academic learning.
Teachers using our resources have reported better class management and happier students! Students will be given the tools to develop their own mindfulness practice, empowering their development and relationship with themselves and others. Commit to practice mindful moments throughout the school year and watch your students grow.
Learning and Teaching Mindfulness
Developing a mindfulness practice takes time. With the proper resources, such as this manual, teachers can develop their own practice while learning how to teach mindfulness to children. This resource gives you the ability to build a mindfulness culture, right in the classroom, along with the students!
In this manual, we cover:
Teachers, school counselors, specialists, and social workers can use this resource as part of their daily classroom lessons and/or social-emotional curriculum. Learn eighteen mindfulness activities that can be easily integrated into your school day–as brain breaks, transitional activities, or daily lessons. Use our printable mindfulness yoga cards to practice activities at any time, at any place!
What’s included:
How to Integrate Mindfulness into the K-5 Classroom is a 44-page PDF made for educators helping contextualize the use of 18 mindfulness activities in the classroom. You can view this PDF on your phone, tablet, computer or print to paper.

HUGE BUNDLE of Adapted Books (holidays, counting, seasons, animals, & more!)
By Until the Pieces Fit
THIS IS A HUGE BUNDLE of Adaptive Books! This huge bundle includes adapted books for all holidays, counting, colors and much more!
Right now there are 40 sets of adapted books included in this set worth $208.00! Each set includes multiple books giving you approximately 106 books to use with your students! PLUS, as I make additional books I just throw them into this set! These books will provide additional support and resources to your classroom all school year!
What is included?
This set includes a plethora of resources and it will keep you busy throughout the school year! I have included animals, holidays, counting, shapes, colors and more.
While many sets are made with the early literacy / early math skills in mind there are also books that can be used as your students grow their skills. I have even my biggest sellers are included in this massive bundle of 40 products!
Why Adapted books?
I personally love using adapted books. I have found them to be motivating to even my most reluctant learners. They are a great resource for such a wide range of learners as well as I can easily modify my instruction for the needs of each student.
I have used them with students who are just learning to sit in their seats and follow directions. Adapted books can easily be modified for students by providing less visual options.
I have also used them with student who are reluctant learners. They may already be confident in the skills presented in the books, however benefit from a learning activity they know they will do succeed with. It is a great starting activity!
Do you have a student who is working on identifying "wh" questions? Place a post it note over picture on each page. Read, ask the "wh" question, and your student can check their answer by checking under the post it note.
Once I have my books prepared they are sturdy, easily cleaned & stored. I store mine in a crate that supports hanging folders. They are sorted by topic and easy to grab and go. We use them in stations, with substitutes, my classroom aides, and when student want to read with peers. They are often requested as well!
How are they prepared?
These books do require some prior prep work. Once they have been created however they are able to be used year after year with a variety of students. I generally print, laminate, bind and velcro them so they can be reused. The adaptive books are designed with students ability to interact with learning material. Each book has interactive icons. Students will have options of 8-10 choices for each story.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this printable come in Black and White?
Yes, all the domino centers come in black and white as well. Some of the centers are only available in black and white, you can opt to print these on colored paper to make it extra colorful.
Note: The Colors Dominoes is only available in color.
How do I prepare this resource?
To play, print and laminate the pages from your chosen set. The standard format for each set of dominos is two dominoes per page. This size is perfect if you are wanting your students to play in groups as a floor game. If you would like to make the dominoes smaller, print several pages to a page (I normally print 8 dominoes to a page), and this will be suitable for table use as a small group or partner activity.
How do my students play the domino games?
Students begin with the 'START' domino and then work their way through, matching the dominoes, until they reach the ‘END’ domino. Dominoes can be matched in either direction, vertically or horizontally.
Here's what my happy customers are saying about this resource:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“My kids enjoyed playing these Dominoes cards and had great fun with learning." - Harita S.

What is included in this Kindergarten Wheel Clip Cards Bundle?
Frequently asked questions about Kindergarten Clip Cards:
What are wheel clip cards?
Wheel clip cards just have several correct answers, as compared to the normal clip card, which generally only has one correct answer. Hence, this should be used only when the learner is more familiar with the concept and can use this as further practice.
How do I prepare this resource?
The centers are best used by first printing on cardstock and then laminating.
Here's what my happy customers are saying about this clip card bundle:
“I love that these work on academic skills as well as fine motor skills. I've also easily adapted them to work with students who are unable to use clothespins. My higher students can complete these independently and I can use them during direct instruction. Once complete, they offer a quick assessment of what the student knows and what we still need to work on.”
“I love clip wheels! This set has so many options, I just love it! I use the two to a page option and found that it is a great size for little hands. Thanks for a great set!”
