H-Insertion Visuals - Speech Therapy Initial /H/ - Apraxia - Prevocalic Voicing
By The SLP Curriculum
This resource was created in order to help Speech Language Pathologists target initial phonemes at the word level. This resource includes a total of 40 pictured initial /h/ CV and CVC words to use the h-insertion trick during speech therapy sessions.
The h-insertion trick can be an extremely helpful strategy to use when children are stuck at the isolation level of a sound. By producing /h/ after the initial sound, the child continues their air flow, making it easier to produce the following vowel. This helps them to eliminate the prior habit of producing the incorrect sound.
*Can be paired with all initial sounds!*
If you haven't tried /h/-insertion, download this FREEBIE and see it work it's magic!
Included in this resource:
H-Insertion can help target the following:
Used in Mixed Groups!
Vocabulary: State meaning of words, along with synonyms and antonyms.
Wh- questions: Ask who, what, where, when, why questions about each word.
Sentence production: Elicit full sentences containing each elicited word.
** Perfect resource for Speech Therapy Observation**

Make letter recognition fun and engaging with this Letter P Write the Room Activity! Designed to enhance vocabulary and phonics skills, students will search the room to find and identify 12 images that begin with the letter P. As they find each picture, they will use one of four recording sheets to document their findings. Perfect for early learners, this activity encourages movement, observation, and writing practice.
Contents:
12 images of objects that start with the letter P, spread around the room for students to find
4 recording sheets (2 with images for early learners, 2 with primary lines for more advanced students)
Word walls in two formats:
A glossary with definitions for each of the letter P words
A fun writing prompt where students discuss their favorite letter P word
How It’s Used: Students will move around the classroom, hunting for images that begin with the letter P, such as "pencil," "pig," or "pizza." Once they find each image, they will record it on their worksheet. Early learners can use the sheets with images to help them, while more advanced learners will have lines for writing. The word wall strips or poster can be displayed as a reference for students, helping them recognize words visually. To extend the activity, students can write about their favorite P word using the included writing prompt.
Why You’ll Love It: This activity makes learning the letter P fun and interactive by combining movement with literacy skills. Students are not just sitting at desks—they’re actively searching and discovering! The multiple recording sheets make it adaptable for various learning levels, and the word walls and glossary add extra support for vocabulary building. Perfect for reinforcing letter recognition, early writing skills, and word comprehension.

Bible Letter of the Week Mini Books Bible Alphabet Bible Phonics
By Kaylor Creations
Journey through learning the letters of the alphabet while also discovering Bible characters, verses, stories and more! These mini books are perfect for little hands and the message is perfect for their little hearts!
Here is what is included in this resource. Make sure to check out the preview!
My Mini Bible Letter Books
One for each letter of the alphabet! Each mini book is 7 mini pages on two full sheet of paper. They are easy to print, cut down the middle and staple together.
Each Book Includes
Page 1: A Bible verse that begins with the letter. This can be used for memorization too!
Page 2: Letter with Bible Word, Picture & short lesson
•Page 3:Another Letter with Bible Word, Picture & short lesson
Page 4: Uppercase Learn & Practice: you can use these pages to teach what the letter looks like and how to write it, you could also introduce the sound.
Page 5: Lowercase Learn & Practice: you can use these pages to teach what the letter looks like and how to write it, you could also introduce the sound.
Page 6: Letter Maze The letters on in block squares inside a maze. The Student must look for the letter to follow a path from start to finish. Could use a highlighter.
•Page 7: Letter Sounds Cut & Paste At the end of this resource you will find pictures of things that begin with each letter of the alphabet. The student will cut and paste the pictures that make the same sound.
Letter Sounds Pictures ( Pg. 58-65)
•Organized three letters at a time, these are pictures of things that begin with each letter of the alphabet. These are small enough to cut out and paste onto the last page of the mini book. Very little ones – You could let them find the right pictures then you may want to cut them out for them. I would suggest printing them on cardstock. I used a color cardstock.
Alphabet Posters Sample ( 67-70)
•I created full sized posters to be used to decorate your classroom, use as visuals, stick to your fridge or dry erase board to remember the letter of the week. I provided three free samples for you in this resource. Post on cardstock or laminate.
What's great about these mini books is they include almost all of the resources that are in other kinds of letter of the week curriculums but i_nstead of wasting tons of paper, you are are only printing two pages a week_ !
These were created with Preschoolers in mind, but they could be used with Kindergarten as review, as remediation or for sped.
