Need an awesome Movement Activity? I have just the thing for you! This creative Conscious Discipline “Breathing Pose” resource was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. It is best to use one of these images per day or per week, so these resources can last a while. Focus on the specific animal shown and discuss where this animal would be and how it would breathe and pose to gain focus. Make sure you demonstrate the pose with your class. Ask a student to help demonstrate this pose, and the sillier you are, yet focused, the more the students will want to participate with you in each of these fun and motivating animal breathing poses. Students will learn how to express positive feelings about themselves to help build self-esteem, strengthen their own identity, appreciate positive traits about their peers, and practice appropriate use of social media and mobile technology tools. Students will be presented with a real-life situation about how one woman defined herself and found happiness, they will discuss this individuals feels, how positive traits inspired her, and how she built up her self esteem. Students will discuss positive and neutral character traits, they will identify unique character traits about themselves and discuss them further and how these positive traits promote their overall well being.

This product can be used for 4th - 8th grade, but can be used for younger or older students depending on maturity and academic level.

This product focuses on the following areas - vocabulary words taught and reviewed:" puberty, hormones, testosterone, estrogen, ovaries, pubic area, body odor, uterus, menstruation, period, menses, ovulation, pads, tampons, menstrual cup, testicles, testes, scrotum, penis, shaft, glans, circumcised penis, uncircumcised penis, erection, ejaculation, zygote, semen, seminal fluid, sperm, eccrine glands, sebum, and pimples and acne. Fill in the blank questions are asked regarding the above vocabulary words. All fill in the blank questions are provided with an answer key.

Notes that are reviewed in this packet include:

puberty, changes in boys and changes in girls, eccrine glands, female stages of development, male stages of development, menstruation, male reproductive system, female reproductive system. After each page of notes, short answer questions are provided to review the previous page of notes.
