Middle School Engineering GATE

Are you ready for some STEM fun before St. Patrick's Day? This project is perfect to engage and challenge students while still addressing science standards.

Students will use their knowledge of simple machines to create a chain reaction machine to trap a leprechaun. Following the engineering design process, they'll ask, imagine, plan, create, test, improve, and reflect.

This challenge involves incorporating at least two simple machines and devising a way to interconnect them, enabling the trap to function independently.

Please note that this is the same design as the Thanksgiving Catch a Turkey Challenge.
