Middle School British History Worksheets

This is a detailed resource comprising Guy Fawkes Night: The Gunpowder Plot Reading Comprehension Passages and Questions. It is about the infamous Gunpowder Plot of 1605, a dramatic event that has shaped British history and is still celebrated today on Bonfire Night, also known as Fireworks Night.

Time allowance to complete:

5-10 minutes - read through the text individually.

40-50 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity)

Time allowance to assess:

A class set of activities might take around 15-20 minutes to mark; the teacher can then send the students their marks automatically, which allows them to read back through their work. Time allowance to complete:

5-10 minutes - read through the text individually.

40-50 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity)
