Practice telling time in 2nd grade with these worksheets. Give students practice with hour, half hour, quarter hour, 5 minutes, and AM and PM. This NO PREP worksheet pack gives you many options for differentiation within your classroom.

What is included:

• Each of the four activities comes in hour, half-hour, quarter hour, and 5 minutes.

• All pages come in color and black & white.

For each worksheet type, start with the hour version and work up to the five minute version.

Ice Cream Time Worksheets:

Students identify the time on the analog clock and write on the lines.

Draw the hands on the clocks worksheets:

Students read the times written. Then they draw the hour and minute hands on the clocks.

Ice Cream Shops:

Students read the times displayed on the ice cream shop. Then they write the time underneath each ice cream shop.

Telling Time Using AM/PM:

Students read the situation, write the time shown on the clock, and circle if the situation happens during AM or PM.

These counting money worksheets and center activity will help your 2nd grade students learn to count coins up to one dollar. Students will identify the four coins - penny, nickel, dime, quarter - and practice skip counting by like coins. The center activity gives students a chance to practice counting coins and using different coins to make the same amounts. With this activity, children will learn to count coins and understand their values. They’ll also develop their basic math skills while having fun at the same time!

Center Activity Option 1
Students use coins to make the amounts on the pockets.

Students pick 3 pockets and make each amount using two different coin combinations.
The recording sheet asks students to draw coins using p for penny, n for nickel, d for dime, and q for quarter.

Builds on the Common Core State Standards:
Students need to be able to identify the coins before working directly with the standard.
