Kindergarten Speech Therapy Resources

Adaptive Books for Early Item Naming & Identification - for special education

By Until the Pieces Fit

Are you in search of effective materials to facilitate the foundational stages of item naming and identification for learners? This set comprises four distinct topics, each thoughtfully designed to provide optimal support during the learning process. With three progressive levels of difficulty for each topic, including errorless tasks, choices of 3, and choices of 8, our Adaptive Books are a versatile resource catering to diverse learning needs.

Print & Go Practice Worksheets: Complementing the adaptive books, each topic includes print-and-go practice worksheets. These worksheets allow learners to reinforce their understanding through independent practice. The combination of interactive books and practice worksheets ensures a well-rounded learning experience.

The Errorless Books introduce students to the item they are learning. Students are then provided an "I see" statement & have two pages for demonstrating understanding. Students are asked to point to the item & to circle the object. These are intended to be either printed and used or printed laminated & expo markers.

Choice of 3: The books with a choice of 3 follow the same format as the Errorless book; however, when asked to point to / circle the item, they have a selection of 3 items. These are intended to be either printed and used or printed laminated & expo markers.

Choice of 8 or 10: Adaptive books that need some prep work. All pages provide visual support and an "I see" statement. Students will remove the matching icon and place it on the page they read.

Vocabulary Words:

Book 1: Household items: house, silverware, bowl, tub, couch, stove, chair, table, rug, lamp, books
