The ENCORE Book includes 20 MORE SOLOS and 18 MORE ACTIVITIES to tide your drummer over until they get into Level 2.

Solos in Level 1 ENCORE use the simplified 3 line staff found in Unit 6 of the Level 1 method book and incorporate all the instruments on a drumset.

Rock'n'Rollin 1 ENCORE can be used in tandem with the Level 1 method book, or as a transition from Level 1 into Level 2.

You can also use this book as a stand-alone method book for young drummers who are starting off their lessons.

Introducing the Rock’N’Rollin’ For Preschoolers book from ZS Music Publishing. Rock’N’Rollin’ For Preschoolers is a precursor to the Rock’N’Rollin’ Level 1 to prepare the younger drummer for their music career.

Rock’N’Rollin’ For Preschoolers is a scaffolded book that starts off by teaching Bass Drum and adds on instruments throughout the book. The book is designed for junior drum sets with the idea that these drum sets may or may not have three Tom Drums to accommodate all kinds of sets.

Students will gradually learn the instruments one by one and together. The layout of the concepts are:

• Sticks
• Bass Drum
• Snare Drum
• High Tom
• Mid Tom
• Low Tom
• Ride Cymbal (referred to “Cymbal” in the book).
• Hi-Hats

Upon completion of the book, students can graduate up to Rock’N’Rollin’ Level 1 or Level 1 Encore. If students move to Level 1 Encore, the back of the book is a section to prepare students for Level 1 Encore if they skip Rock’N’Rollin Level 1. For this section, there are 8 pages that have been pulled from Rock’N’Rollin Level 1.

In total, there are 33 “songs” in the book along with activities scattered through our including 4 pages for students to create their own beats.

This book is studio licensed, so you can make as many copies as you'd like! You may not share the file with any other school/studio.

Here come the Little Jammers! This new program from ZSMP/Seckman Music Studio is a Kids Band Discovery curriculum that teaches students the basics of playing Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, and a little singing as well! Little Jammers uses colored notes on the staff and instruments to allow kids to visually learn the music.

This Preview Pack includes 5 of the 21 songs from the full program curriculum. In the pack, you'll have the lessons plans, set-up instructions, band books for the kids, 10 backing tracks, and teacher scores for the 5 songs. Preview Pack materials are studio-licensed so you may make as many copies as needed, but the Little Jammers name may not be used; song titles can be published for programs and concerts.

You will need additional material and instruments for this program such as: Half-sized guitar, jr drumset, small synth/keyboard, amplifier and appropriate cables, all explained in the set-up material.

Use these extension lessons for "Bear Says Thanks", "Bear Snores On", "Bear Feels Sick", "Bear's New Friend", "Bear's Loose Tooth", "Bear Feels Scared", "Bear Wants More", "Bear Stays Up" and "Bear Can't Sleep" by Karma Wilson to teach quarter rest, new solfege syllables, play along on the recorder, play ostinati, rhythm vs. steady beat, practice decoding and rhythm matching using additional worksheets and talk about the importance of gratitude! Great for use all year long and can be used without the books also. Worksheets included can be used and assigned digitally through Google Classroom. Adaptable for grades PreK-3rd grade.

Using these lesson extensions for the books "'Slowly, Slowly, Slowly,' said the Sloth", "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", and "Does the Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too?" teach fast vs. slow, triplets, and rhythm vs. steady beat. Use the extension lesson for "Rooster's Off to See the World", "Dream Snow" and "The Very Lonely Firefly", to introduce and review the so-mi-la and mi-re-do solfege combination. Use lessons for "From Head to Toe" and "Little Cloud" to move and explore shapes in your classroom. Use "The Very Quiet Cricket" to teach steady beat and whisper voice. Finally, use the book "Pancakes, Pancakes" to teach sixteenth note rhythms. Have the children move and play along, and then reinforce their knowledge with additional worksheets. Using these classic books, teach your students about quarter rest! Sing/chant/play along with the rhymes I wrote for the books and add in rhythm sticks for fun! Then use the beat charts and worksheets to reinforce decoding skills as well as teach students to listen and recognize rests as well as practice writing them. "Bear's New Friend" and "Bear Feels Scared" also have recorder and barred instrument parts that would be fun for the older grades. "Bear Can't Sleep" has an ostinato part as well. Some lessons are adaptable for grades PreK-3rd grade while the Tanabata Star Festival Lesson is for the upper grades.

Get your class on beat! Included are 6 background tracks with ethnic flair -- tablas, djembes, bongos, and more ethnic percussion from Asia, India, and South America. The 6 tracks are at approximately 120bpm and also have a faster 142bpm just in case you want to get things really moving! (12 tracks total) I use these in my class for Orff, Boomwhacker, Rhythm Sticks, Dancing, Movement, or singing activities. The tracks go for about 2 minutes each and there's about 18 minutes worth of drum music in the ZIP file Have fun!

Use this newly published Eric Carle book to teach gratitude while learning and decoding ta and ti-ti rhythm syllables as well as so, mi, and la solfege syllables. Choose either the song or chant that the children can speak/sing along with the book at specific times during the title. Then, have them decode for either rhythms or solfege syllables. Use this lesson to have the children comfort the bear that the tooth will come out! Based on this popular book, have the children chant or sing to a bear puppet that it will all be okay. Use the accompanying rhythm and beat charts to differentiate between rhythm and steady beat. Accompanying worksheet should be used to have students notate the rhythms to reinforce their decoding skills. Have the older students in grades 1 and 2 sing the chant on so, mi and la syllables. Use the chant or lullaby to help the bear feel better! Chant or sing this extension to the popular book "Bear Feels Sick" by Karma Wilson. Talk to the children prior to starting about what being a caring and good friend means and that friends help each other when they are sick. Then introduce the chant or song to the children and sing after every time that the says the bear feels sick. Use the rhythm chart to decode the rhythms and discover quarter rests.
