Halloween FUN!!! Are you looking for an engaging, hands-on experiment to reinforce scientific process skills, chemistry and proper lab safety practices? Look no further than the "Halloween Chemistry Activity Crystal Growing Pumpkin, Bat or Ghost Lab". This AWESOME experiment includes all you need to hook your students on science- simply add Pumpkins!
I do this lab the week of Halloween. The kiddos feel like real chemists as they make supersaturated solutions that leave behind beautiful crystalline structures. The students get to take home their own hand-made crystal pumpkins, bats or ghosts. In this activity, we build lab skills, problem solve, cooperate in groups and enjoy the hard work.

How To Use This Resource?
★ This hands-on lab can be used multiple age groups and requires 2 class periods (90 minutes) to complete.
★ This is an inquiry lab that requires easy to access materials and a few pieces of basic lab equipment. The lab equipment can be swapped out for kitchen equipment as well.
★ Use this as a full inquiry lab or as a simple scaffolded science investigation.

The students get to take home their own hand-made crystal hearts or give them to their crush ❣️. In this activity, we build lab skills, problem solve, cooperate in groups and enjoy the hard work.
