Doing a Spanish unit on accidents and injuries?  Here are 3 NO PREP activities to help your students build their proficiency!  Interpersonal Speaking is targeted with Partner Guided Conversations, Integrated Listening and Speaking activities, and Open-Ended Task Cards.  These resources will give them both support and freedom to use their Spanish in creative ways!

Do your Spanish students need some help with interpersonal speaking?  Are they struggling to have conversations in Spanish?  Let’s give them some guided support with these 4 partner conversations about accidents and injuries!  Both students will have the opportunity to ask and answer questions as part of a conversation, but with a lot of scaffolding to build confidence.

The Integrated Listening and Speaking Activities don’t require a partner.  They mimic the Seal of Biliteracy tests, like AAPPL, by having students listen to a prompt and recording their response.  There are 2 activities with 5 prompts each.

The Open-ended Task Cards provide 20 different scenarios about accidents and injuries.  Students can tell stories to and with partners, record their stories, or write them! The scenarios come in 3 versions: for display on a SmartBoard/projector, printable in color and printable in black and white.  You can use these as a daily warm up, for a whole class or even for an assessment!

Who can use this product?

• Spanish students in year 2 and up
• Students learning the preterite and imperfect

How can I use this product?

• Students will work in partners to participate in a guided conversation
• Students will trade roles so both can practice asking questions and answering questions
• Teachers can assign these conversations as practice or as an assessment

Spanish writing prompts, especially when you make them into a group challenge, are a great way to get your Spanish 2, 3 or students writing, improving and learning from others!  

Your Spanish students will look forward to working together to create writing that meets and exceeds the standards you’re looking for!  Writing together allows peers to learn from each other and takes away some of the pressure when writing alone. The themes are relevant and interesting to students and promote creativity with language.

AP Spanish® teachers can use this digital bundle for a mini-unit to provide your lesson plans for cultural perspectives about work in the Spanish-speaking world.  These readings, videos, graphs and other activities will help students understand the connection between work and quality of life! Each Google Doc article is digital or printable and can be edited. 

Each of the 5 articles contain questions to aid student comprehension.  The 2 included videos also contain viewing guides to ensure comprehension. There is a Google doc with 2 curated graphs related to Education Level and Salary with 10 comprehension questions. All questions are fully editable to ensure that they are just right to meet your students' needs!

Need to get everyone talking? Use the included discussion questions along with the ideas for making sure all students participate willingly!

Ready to assess? Use the included cultural comparison with organizing T-chart! Or, the digital or printable mini-project asks students to interview 2 adults about their experiences and perspectives in the working-world. Students use the information they gain from these adults to formulate their own opinions and values for what they want their future to look like!

Want to discuss environmental challenges with your AP Spanish® students?  Unit 6, Environmental, Political and Social Challenges is a perfect time!  This bundle includes activities for reading, writing and listening comprehension as well as an assessment!
