Teachers know it is important to allow students to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses so they can grow and improve. I created these reflection sheets to make it easy! I simply print these reflections out at the end of each Marking Period and have students reflect on their grade as well as the quality of work they turned in. They then describe how they can improve as we begin the next Marking Period. Reflection sheets are also included in case your school uses Quarters or Trimesters.

This growth mindset and fixed mindset sorting activity is THE EXACT SAME PRODUCT AS SEEN HERE (except they are printed on regular paper instead of sticky notes):

A cryptogram is like a puzzle where letters in a message are replaced with different letters or symbols**.** You can solve it by figuring out which letter stands for which.  It's a fun challenge for learners.

There are 20 different journal prompts as well as a page for teacher tips, and optional back pages (blank lines if you choose to copy front-to-back for students to have extra space to write.

These products include a digital option (as well as the no-prep printable option). The instructions for utilizing the digital portion appear at the end of the packet.

Technology Requirements:

• A Google Drive account
• If sharing with students, a Drive account that is linked to student Google accounts
• Can be shared/delivered on Google Classroom
• Only need access to Google Drive--no outside links to worry about!

These journal prompts can be used with iPads, chrome books, laptops, and desktops as long as your students have access to Google Drive or Classroom on a device. The digital portion of this product is on Google Slides.

Kirsten Tulsian has 18 years of experience in elementary education. She has been a homeroom teacher for first grade, third grade, and fourth grade, as well as ESL. She has also been a school counselor for grades PK-6, an ESL pullout teacher for K-6, and a Reading Recovery Teacher. She received her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and psychology from The University of Iowa and a Master’s of Education in school counseling from Sam Houston State University. In this no prep lesson, students learn to analyse and interpret the information on what causes Hunger's part of your Geography program.

This comprehensive and interactive lesson plan, entitled "What Causes Hunger?", guides students through a thoughtful exploration of the various factors contributing to global hunger.

It engages students in a detailed understanding of the cycle of poverty, lack of agricultural investment, effects of climate and weather, war and displacement, unstable markets, and food wastage, and how each of these components plays a role in the prevalence of hunger.

Challenges to food production, including land and water degradation, shortage of fresh water, competing land uses, and climate change, for Australia and other areas of the world (ACHGK063)

Students will begin to see that certain features and shapes are often associated with particular population structures e.g. a wide base indicates a high birth rate, a narrow apex often indicates a high death rate, etc.

Within the lesson, students will be expected to apply this new knowledge and understanding by analyzing and interpreting a population pyramid from a range of countries.

Students also learn how variations in shape and size also relate to the dependency ratio (the amount of the population that is dependent on the working population) of a particular country. Students practice calculating and interpreting dependency ratio through a number of examples.

These slides can also be printed and displayed within the classroom or given to students as review notes.
