A Mother's Day Card and Mother's Day Gifts are hard to organise when we are involved in distance learning and distance teaching. This pack of 180+ Mother's Day Cards (or pockets) templates will hopefully make organizing something special for our amazing mothers on Mother's Day a bit easier. I developed these Mother's Day Cards or Pockets because they are thoughtful, something a bit different and so easy to explain and share with our students when we are not in school. They can be shared as a hard copy or digitally and then printed at home.

These Mother's Day Cards (pockets actually) can be edited to suit different situations, countries and languages. Mum instead of Mom, Auntie or Aunty, Grandma - just edit - no worries!

1. Simply choose a pocket template (several kinds and loads of choices)
2. Edit the messages and instructions if you want your students to read or follow
3. Choose what kind of inserts or coupons you want to use
4. Again you can edit to suit what message or language you want

DESCRIPTION

Students always need additional support in mastering the skill of inferencing. You can use these two sets of 16 Freak The Mighty Multiple-Choice Inference Task Cards to help students practice making inferences.

▶️ Inference Task Cards

✅ The first set of 16 Inference Task Cards consists of a short selection/passage from the book followed by an inference-based question. There are four multiple choice answers choices that students choose from. Students read the passage and choose the correct answer. Students will need to pay close attention to details to choose the correct answer. The inference questions are centered around character traits, character relationships, and situations.

✅ A Student Answer Sheet is included for students to write their answers.

✅ The second set of 16 Inference Task Cards are the actual “Answer Key” set of the first set of Task Cards. The Answer Key set of Task Cards highlight the correct multiple-choice answers in the color red and highlights relevant evidence that supports the correct answers in the color yellow.

✅ This is engaging practice for your students as it is perfect for mini-lessons, whole class instruction, cooperative learning, intervention groups, literacy centers, and small group instruction.

▶️ Test Format Version (Print and Digital)

✅ These bookmarks include sentence stems consistent with making inferences. Students can reference these inference stems to stimulate their thinking, increase comprehension, and actively engage in reading and discussion. Suggestions on how you can use the Multiple-Choice Inference Task Cards:

⭐ Quiz or Test - You can make a copy of the set of Task Cards and distribute to each student as a quiz or test. You, as the teacher , can then select the Task Card Inference question that students performed the lowest on and use that to review and develop/modify your instruction.

⭐ Small Group Instruction - You can have students engage in small group instruction where you provide additional support on the skill of inferencing. These Inference Task Cards will support that type of instruction. You can have all students in small groups practice with the same inference task card question number or you can distribute 1-2 Task Cards to each student to practice, then review.

⭐ Mini Lesson - You can load these Inference Task Cards on the Smartboard and use them to demonstrate how to make an inference. They can also be used to discuss the importance of details and how they are used to encourage inferential thinking. You can even use these Task Cards to discuss the difference between relevant details and irrelevant details. Finally, you can use these Inference Task Cards during the guided practice portion of your lesson.

⭐ Formative Assessment / Exit Slips - These Inference Task Cards make a great, quick formative assessment! You can easily check for understanding by distributing 1-2 Task Cards to each student to complete. You can circulate the room to do a "Quick Check" to see if students "Got it." You can also use these Task Cards as Exit Slips by distributing 1-2 Task Cards to each student to complete and hand in to you before they leave.

⭐ Partner Study - You can have students pair up and “test each other.” Partners not only ask each other to choose the correct multiple-choice answer, but to highlight or underline specific details in the selection/passage to support their inference-based answer. The Answer Key set of Task Cards are helpful in the sense that students can take ownership of reviewing the correct answers and sharing that with their partners**.**

⭐ Test Prep Review - You can use these Task Cards to review how to answer multiple-choice questions. You can also use these cards to teach students a variety of multiple-choice strategies (process of elimination, context clues, textual evidence, tone, etc.) to help them select the right answers to questions and aid comprehension.

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 36 different time vocabulary words presented.

Students will initially write each vocabulary word in their native language after learning the English word and being shown a picture. At the end of this section, students will have the opportunity to choose 8 time vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each one. Students will also be provided with comprehension sentences regarding time vocabulary words that were presented.

In the second section of the product, there is a time vocabulary review that requires students to write the English word and the word in the student's native language based on the picture and sentence provided for each time vocabulary word.

In the third section of the product, there is a time vocabulary review that requires students to make up a sentence for each time vocabulary word learned in their native language.

In the fourth section of this product, students will then be required to write the English time vocabulary word and make up a sentence in English.

Time vocabulary words that are included in this product include words such as month, weeks, the months, days of week, numbers, calendar, clock, etc. to help students learn how to determine the time, the day of the week, the month, when they are doing something, comparing time, managing time, and setting up a schedule.

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 54 different community helpers/jobs vocabulary words presented. Students will initially write each vocabulary word in their native language and after learning the English word, students will complete the community helpers/jobs vocabulary review where they will be required to fill in the English and their native language community helpers/jobs vocabulary word. Pictures are included for each vocabulary word to help students make connections to what each community helpers/jobs vocabulary word is. Students can do this independently or with help. Students will be required to answer a few comprehension questions that relate with what community helpers/jobs their family members have, they have seen people work in the community, and what they want to do when they grow up. Students will initially write each vocabulary word in their native language after learning the English word and being shown a picture.

In the second section of the product, students will write each pronoun in English based on the example sentence provided and the picture. At the end of this section, students will have the opportunity to choose 8 pronoun vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each one. In the third section of the product, students will be required to write the English word and the word in the student's native language based on the picture and sentence provided for each pronoun vocabulary word.

In the fourth section of the product, students will be required to make up a sentence for each pronoun in their native language.

In the fifth section of this product, students will then be required to make up a sentence for each pronoun in their native language.

The 1994 movie, Camp Nowhere is a coming of age movie for preteens and teens. The movie discusses problem solving skills, following rules, working together, growing up, breaking the rules, owning up to mistakes that were made, taking responsibility for your actions, finding yourself, making decisions, and being a good friend. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the movie as well as students own experiences. Students can answer these comprehension questions as they watch the movie or after they have finished the movie. At the end of the packet, there are longer comprehnsion questions asked that relate with the movie. Writing an Arctic animal research report can be a fun and interesting project for your students. This provides them with the opportunity to learn about an Arctic animal that interests them and share it with their peers! This packet includes information to share with your students about what an Arctic animal research report is, topic ideas, why an Arctic animal research report is written, what is shared in an Arctic animal research report, who the audience will be, how the completed Arctic animal research report will be published, rules to follow when writing an Arctic animal research report, where to locate information and the possible sources one could find when completing an Arctic animal research report, opening paragraph tips to hook the reader, tips that make a great Arctic animal research report, and an idea that shows the structure of an Arctic animal research report are included in this product.

An example of three possible writing topics, a completed KWL chart, and a brainstorming chart that will serve as a guide when writing the rough draft of the Arctic animal research report are included in this product. An example of a rough draft on the Arctic animal, narwhals, and an example of the sources that were used to write this Arctic animal research report are also provided to help support students and serve as a guide to help them when writing their own rough draft. Templates are included after the example along with a rough draft template and reminder checklist, so students remember to go back and check their work once it is completed.
