9th Grade World History Google Apps

Make learning about several modern international  women interesting with this no-prep digital escape game.  The game includes access to a website where your students will hunt for the keys to unlock a set of locks.  Students will need to read the clues very carefully and watch videos, visit websites, and read texts to find the information they need to win the game.  Very easy to use - just send your students to the website and let them work!  Students can play individually or in teams.

Digital escape games are a fun way to start a unit, or to review at the end of a unit.  They can also be used to learn about a cultural or historical event.  This game will have your students reading carefully and paying attention to the smallest details in order to complete the challenge and unlock the locks.

Tens of thousands of people have protested on the streets to make their voices heard about all kinds of issues that students care about including racism, inequality, policing, discrimination, etc. Protests have spread across the nation and seem to rival the historic demonstrations of the Civil Rights Movement. Authentic listening activities with comprehensible input for Spanish class can be so hard to find!  We want our students to practice their listening skills but we don’t want to spend an hour searching for a good video!  This YouTube video is about 5 tips for starting a new school year.  A young person gives us 5 ideas about how to have a successful start to the year. This activity makes a great way to dive back into Spanish at the beginning of the year!

Is there a Fall Feel in the air?  These Spanish fall activities will get your students talking, writing and listening about otoño, Halloween and Día de los muertos in an engaging way.  Practice both presentational and interpersonal speaking and writing while keeping students producing lots of Spanish! Give them comprehensible input with comprehension questions that are either open-ended or self-correcting MCQ!

Make learning about the cold war fun with this no-prep digital escape game.  This game includes access to a website where your students will hunt for the keys to unlock a set of locks.  Students will need to read the clues very carefully and watch videos, visit websites, and read texts to find the information they need to win the game.  Very easy to use - just send your students to the website and let them work!  Students can play individually or in teams.

Digital escape games are a fun way to start a unit, or to review at the end of a unit.  They can also be used to learn about a cultural or historical event.  This game will have your students reading carefully and paying attention to the smallest details in order to complete the challenge and unlock the locks.
