Not only will they have fun working together or individually to solve the puzzle, but they will also have the opportunity to practice reading the latitude and longitude coordinate grid system (absolute location). The book, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a great book for students. The Herdmans want to be in the Christmas pageant, which causes no one else to want to participate, but it turns out that them starring in the Christmas Pageant wasn't that bad. This is a great holiday book for students, and it also talks about friendship, acceptance, and helping others. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text and each chapter. Students will have the opportunity to answer both short answer and multiple choice throughout each chapter. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and example sentences are presented in the packet. Students can also write sentences using the vocabulary words. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet. Words that students may need help with spelling when answering comprehension questions are provided in this product as well. Each chapters questions are divided up throughout this product. An answer key is included at the end of this product along with comprehension questions that allow students to reflect on the whole book, who their favorite character was, what the plot of the story was, etc.
