These progressively challenging task cards start students with simple algebraic expressions and sentences, then lead students to write equations involving variables on both sides and equations with multiple unknown quantities. This lesson with printable task cards uses Building Thinking Classrooms strategies for teaching math created by Peter Liljedahl.
