Develops students research and summarising skills with online notes. first introduce the topic with a short focused slide deck on the topic on Medieval Europe History. I would suggest enlarging the document to A3.

Trail of Tears National Historic Trail

Description: You will describe your Travel Alongside other Native Americans on Their Journeys to Oklahoma. You will be learning about the "Big Five" (the 5 tribes involved in the march), Native American traditions and customs, the Indian Removal Act of 1830, and the hard journey along the Trail of Tears. You will be taking on the role of a Native American during this time as you face the same struggles that you will be researching.

Intro: Let’s begin! There are 4 Modules that you will have to complete before beginning your 5 Diary Entries.  Each module is numbered and holds key information for each designated entry.  Under each module, follow the provided links, which will redirect you to a web page containing information on that particular subject.  Make sure you have a piece of paper and a pencil with you, as you will need to take notes/ ideas as you go about answering the questions. In the end, you will be assuming the role and name you have researched and chosen and writing five diary entries on your experience.

Students choose the landmarks they will research and then choose the software they will use to showcase their research. The Events of the Cold War - Research & Presentation Project | Distance Learning

This unit connects learning with technology to Social Studies. This is perfect for technology class or for use in a Social Studies or History classroom that wants to incorporate technology with a lesson. Students create a presentation in either Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides with information about their topic.

In this lesson, students are provided with links to other resources and tutorials to help them with their project. Students create a presentation about a topic of interest related to the Cold War from a provided list after researching the topic. They use that information along with graphics, pictures and backgrounds from the Internet to create a finished presentation that explains their topic, and add their own opinions and insights to the project.

This is an excellent creative project to add to a unit on the Cold War. The project was created for grades 7-8 but could easily be used with upper elementary or high school students.

This lesson is great for distance learning/remote learning. You can upload it to your school's learning management system (Google Classroom, Edmodo, Canvas, etc.) or share with students via Google Drive.
