World History Student Learning Goal Checklist Many districts require teachers to post the learning goals for each lesson in the classroom. While this may seem like an unnecessary, extra step at first, it is truly beneficial to the students. I created this packet/spreadsheet to make goal posting simple, effective, and consistent. This can be printed out sheet by sheet and placed into their INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOKS, it can be distributed through a Google Sheet, or into a data folder. This is completely up to you. One way- Student directions: It is based on the work we have done thus far, please put an x in the box that best describes your knowledge of the "I can" statement. Before the unit please use a blue highlighter & before the test please revisit and use a pink highlighter. Another way- Instructions: Step By Step 1. Find the unit we are in right now. 2. Based on the work we have done thus far, please put an x in the box that best describes your knowledge of the "I can" statement. 3. Be sure to revisit this before your test to ensure that You've Got This Down! This is what the Civics team is creating your test off of. If you can move yourself to the final column of "Yes, I can." Then you should score 80% or higher on the test. I will be checking on these :) 4. If you get assigned to an intervention. You will need to edit this on the last day of that cycle P.s. Be sure your thought bubbles clearly illustrate the ideas of both groups and explains why the Anti-Federalists were against the Constitution. Trail of Tears National Historic Trail

Description: You will describe your Travel Alongside other Native Americans on Their Journeys to Oklahoma. You will be learning about the "Big Five" (the 5 tribes involved in the march), Native American traditions and customs, the Indian Removal Act of 1830, and the hard journey along the Trail of Tears. You will be taking on the role of a Native American during this time as you face the same struggles that you will be researching.

Intro: Let’s begin! There are 4 Modules that you will have to complete before beginning your 5 Diary Entries.  Each module is numbered and holds key information for each designated entry.  Under each module, follow the provided links, which will redirect you to a web page containing information on that particular subject.  Make sure you have a piece of paper and a pencil with you, as you will need to take notes/ ideas as you go about answering the questions. In the end, you will be assuming the role and name you have researched and chosen and writing five diary entries on your experience.

your students can track THEMSELVES! Plus this is also a great tracker for PLC's to ensure all students are learning the content you are on the same page. This has made

our team meetings go SO much smoother! This is my favorite tool in my classroom.

Students will track themselves in this unit standard by standard with the use of "I can" statements.

Instructions: Step By Step

Since we are all new to these standards and new tests and there are not many resources available, I have tried to provide more practice and assessments for us all to use to help our students succeed! This file contains 21 items for oddle of pages worth of Common Core Civics Worksheets, LEARNING GOAL CHART, Visual Vocab, Research Sheets, Exercises, EOC practice problems, Formative Checks, Questions, Assessments, Close Readings, Bellwork, etc. All EOC Practice problems are originally created based on those released by the state of Florida. Each sheet allows space for students to practice locating important information, show their work, and write their answer. These Practice Sheets and Assessments can be used in multiple ways. Printed on cardstock and laminated for repeated classroom use in groups, as warm-ups, as centers, test prep, exit questions/ activities, study time at the end of the year, etc. They can be arranged in take-home packets or INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOKS for the students to complete as homework. They can be used as handouts. The choice is yours! EVERYTHING is standard labeled. Standards Included, but not limited to: SS.7.C.2.4 Evaluate rights contained in the Bill of Rights and other amendments to the Constitution. SS.7.C.2.5 Distinguish how the Constitution safeguards and limits individual rights. SS.7.C.3.6 Evaluate Constitutional rights and their impact on individuals and society.
