A reading comprehension tasks which focuses on the role that chemicals in the brain play in wellbeing. Teens will be engaged in this informative text as the topic is relevant yet allows for the development of comprehension skills. Questions range from easy to hard and incorporates cognitive verbs from the Australian Curriculum. This encourages students to go beyond the retrieval and comprehension stages and into analysis and knowledge utilisation. Available as either a print or electronic task in Google Slides and Forms.

This resource is great for teaching students that Valley Forge was not actually a battle and also helps them to understand the horrible conditions soldiers had to live through while stationed at Valley Forge. It also introduces them to the Baron Von Steuben, who re-trained the troops and improved morale.
