Do you need an engaging activity to support your classroom community? Are you struggling to find an activity that isn't boring?? Do you want your students to have fun? Then download this Gifted and Talented Back to School Getting to Know You Activity WebQuest!
This fun and engaging WebQuest is a unique twist on the typical getting to know you activity. It combines the two things teenagers love, using technology and talking about themselves! Students are provided with 15 prompts that they must first quickly research. Then based on what they find, they share something about themself with their partner. It's fun, interactive, and will get all kids feeling comfortable to share about themself. This WebQuest can be completed in pairs or in small groups.

- Students go to a history website (URL provided) and choose an era in which they would love to live. Then, they share this information with their partner.
- Students go to a website about names and choose their favorite name. Then, they share something about their own name.

- NO PREP and very few resources needed (just a computer!)
➟ How you can use this resource:
- This can be completed in one full 45-minute class OR
- Students answer 1-2 questions daily for the first week or so of class to get to know one another OR
- Students answer 1-2 daily at the end of class

15 multi-part question WebQuest/scavenger hunt with relevant questions (The URLs provided in this WebQuest are not 'live.' They are kept very simple so that students can easily type the URLs in the search bar to hunt for their answers). Text boxes are all set, and ready to go!

Learn about the country of Brazil with this informational web quest. There is also a map skill activity and fun facts. Additionally, there is a teacher page with extension activities and additional links.
Although the map skill/webquest can be completed in one session, if you opt to do the extension activity, additional days could be used.

**8. South Korea:**This would be a great opportunity to introduce students to the county of South Korea. In 2018, South Korea, also hosted the Winter Olympics.There are 11 web questions, lots of Did You Know? facts, comprehension questions and a teacher page with 7 extension activities. There is also a key for both the web quest and comprehension questions and additional links for teachers. Although the activity could be done in one class period, if you decide to do some of the extension activities, this resource could be used over several days. SOUTH KOREA
9. North Korea: Founded in 1948 by Kim II-Sung, North Korea is officially called the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. About the size of the state of Pennsylvania, it has been nicknamed the Hermit Kingdom because it is a country that few from the outside world have visited. With North Korea being in the news a lot lately, this might be a great opportunity to introduce students to the "Hermit Kingdom". In 2018, President Trump plans to have a meeting with the leader of North Korea**. NORTH KOREA**
10. Guam: This resource would be a very good opportunity to introduce students to the Pacific island of Guam, a U.S. Territory.
