PROMPTS ÉCRITURE - HISTOIRE - ÉVÉNEMENTS MAJEURS - ÉCRITURE CRÉATIVE - ROUTINE

French ER Verbs Lesson in 2 Tenses With and Without Negation

By Love Learning Languages - French Resources

Regular ER Verbs in the Present Tense and Passé Composé + 5 Ways to Use Negation + Lesson Plan

Regular verbs ending in ER represent the largest group of verbs in French. This comprehensive lesson focuses on 15 of them, and students will learn how to use them both in the present tense and in the passé composé. They will learn how to use simple negation as well as how to say never, nothing, anymore, and not yet. This is a very comprehensive lesson in which I give lots of examples, and the way I teach it will make them feel as if we're sitting together in a 1:1 session! This lesson is perfect for distance learning.

STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS & LESSON PLAN (Steps 1 - 4 included in this resource):

➯ STEP 1 - «COURS»: Download your cours before watching the video and be ready to take notes. This is an 8 page skeleton outline of the lesson that you can print and use to follow along as the lesson is taught. There is space for you to write examples. This is an important part of the learning process as you will retain more if you actively participate rather than simply listening.

STEP 2 - Lesson guide: I'm including a study guide which is a neat 6 page copy of the lesson.

➯ STEP 3 - Jennifer's live lesson notes: As I teach this lesson, you will see that I write examples, notes, tips, and other helpful grammar information directly on the screen. This is a 9 page copy of my personal notes written while recording.

➯ STEP 4 - Video tutorial on YouTube: 45 minute lesson in which I teach everything outlined on the 8 page cours.

Supplementary resources available on TeachShare:

➯ STEP 5 - Written exercise: 25 sentences to write either in the present tense or passé composé. All of them include one of the types of negation you will learn during the lesson. An answer key is included.

Modèle: Présent - Je - ne pas - souvent - parler - téléphone.

en français: Je ne parle pas souvent au téléphone.

en anglais: I don’t often speak on the phone.

➯ STEP 6 - Audio: 15 sentences using -ER verbs are included in this dictation exercise that will help you with listening comprehension and written production. All of the verbs from the lesson are used either in the present tense or passé composé, and half of the sentences use negation. I will read each sentence twice, giving you time to write what I say. An answer key is included.

➯ STEP 7 - Practice cards: Use your set of 100 practice cards to drill everything you learn during this lesson. Every verb from the lesson is included and repeated in different ways in this very useful set of cards. I'm including three versions:

  • One set is for online use and does not include answers - 100 cards, 1 per page
  • One set is for online use and includes answers on every other card - 200 cards, 1 per page
  • One set is for printing and cutting out, answers not included (see the answers on SET 2) - 100 cards, 4 per page

FRENCH MATHS | SANS CAHIER/PAPERLESS | FRACTIONS, DÉCIMAUX, POURCENTAGES

By French Made Fun!

Having trouble visualizing how to "break down" math concepts and how to structure your teaching? New to this grade level or unfamiliar with "how" to teach it? Tired of passing out worksheets? If you're wanting to try something else to see if your students become more engaged and confident in math... Look no further. No book? No problem. Printer broken? No problem. Multi-levelled or split classrooms? No problem.

Imagine math classes that require zero prep, zero paper, zero planning, and slides which not only prompt your students to engage, discuss, solve and prove their understanding, but prompt you to teach concepts at a slow, realistic pace? Imagine not having to write down examples on your board and having more time to assess your students in real time. This document does just that.

This is one my paperless teaching products; where my 161-page Slide Deck will take your hand and guide you to teach following a workshop model. I provide ample explanations, examples, step-by-step instruction, assessment and answer keys. Apart from the assessment materials at the end of this document, it requires virtually no printing. It just requires you (or anyone!) to be there to follow the Slide Deck.

This was created (and used!) for students in grades 5-7 and works great for older students on IEPs, students en adaptation scolaire, as revision for older grades, or for online learning. Partner work and independent work are imbedded in the slides. Students receive many guided explanations so they can work independently.

Let me teach you - and your students - how fractions, decimals and percentages work.

I cover everything your students need to know about fractions, including:

  • Equivalent Fractions,
  • Decimal equivalence,
  • Improper fractions and mixed numbers,
  • Conversion of fraction types,
  • Comparing and ordering fractions,
  • Ordering fractions on a number line,
  • Reference points,
  • Visual strategies for fractions.
  • ... And more !

In addition to the 140-page slide deck, there are 11 pages of printable assessments which can be used as check-ins, formal or informal assessment, revision, printables for a substitute or just for independent work. There are answer keys for all printable assessments as well as answer keys imbedded throughout the Slide Deck for your students to reference throughout their learning.

As with ALL of my documents, I can never quite shut my brain off, and when I add to or improve my documents, by purchasing this document, you'll forever get access to the changes I've made (including the most recent one in August 2023).
