Lady Bird Johnson:Biographical Play( To Tell the Truth Play)

Need a quick fun Friday(or day before a vacation activity)? Teaching American History and want to introduce your students to First Ladies of the United States? Try this fun and information play based on the Mark Goodson Production To Tell the Truth Game Show on Lady Bird Johnson. To Tell the Truth was a popular television show which has returned with host Anthony Anderson(of Blackish). Three guests all claim to be the real guest being interviewed by a panel. The real guest must tell the truth where the other impostors do not have to do so. Kids must be "truth detectives" to determine just who is the REAL Lady Bird Johnson.
Students in grades 4 and up will have fun acting out their parts and learning some interesting facts about First Lady Lady Bird Johnson,called one of Washington's first environmentalists! Discussion questions,comprehension questions and activities are also included.

HC Anderson might be a good tie-in with a unit of study on bullying. His story, The Ugly Duckling, may have been based on his own experiences, where Andersen said he was often bullied.
Perhaps, you might find this fun and informative play on Hans Christian Andersen of interest. The play is based on the Mark Goodson Production To Tell the Truth Game Show. To Tell the Truth was a popular television show which has returned with host Anthony Anderson(of Blackish). Three guests all claim to be the real guest being interviewed by a panel. The real guest must tell the truth where the other imposters do not have to do so. Kids must be "truth detectives" to determine just who is the REAL Hans Christian Andersen.
Students in grades 4 and up will have fun acting out their parts and learning some interesting facts about fairy tale writer, Hans Christian Andersen. Comprehension questions, discussion questions, extension activities and resources are included. Several common core standards are also addressed in social studies and language arts.

Need a quick fun Friday(or day before a vacation activity)? Teaching American History and want to introduce your students to First Ladies of the United States? Looking for a Reader's Theater Script for Women's History Month? Try this fun and information play based on the Mark Goodson Production To Tell the Truth Game Show. To Tell the Truth was a popular television show which has returned with host Anthony Anderson(of Blackish). Three guests all claim to be the real guest being interviewed by a panel. The real guest must tell the truth where the other imposters do not have to do so. Kids must be "truth detectives" to determine just who is the REAL Michelle Obama.
Students in grades 4 and up will have fun acting out their parts and learning some interesting facts about First Lady Michelle Obama. Discussion questions,comprehension questions and extension activities are also included

King Tut: Wrapping with a Mummy! Biographical Play(To Tell the Truth Play)

Learn lots of fun facts about mummies and specifically the discovery of King Tut's tomb with this play based on the To Tell the Truth Game Show Format. To Tell the Truth was a popular television show which has returned with host Anthony Anderson(of Blackish). Three guests all claim to be the real guest being interviewed by a panel. The real guest must tell the truth where the other imposters do not have to do so. Kids must be "truth detectives" to determine just who is the REAL King Tut. Directions and a suggested YouTube Clip to show the idea of the game, comprehension questions, discussion questions and extension activities(and resources) are included.
I really think your students will have fun with this play on King Tut! The play is a great way to have kids show their "acting" abilities!
NOVEMBER 4th is KING TUT Day, a day which celebrates the discovery of the tomb by Howard Carter back on November 4, 1922. Additionally, you could use this play during a unit on Egypt or if you'd like something fun and informative to use on a Friday or before a vacation.

Martha Washington: Biographical Play(To Tell the Truth Play)(Script/Biography)

Need a quick fun Friday or day before a vacation activity? Try this role-playing play based on the Mark Goodson Production To Tell the Truth Game Show. To Tell the Truth was a popular television show which has returned with host Anthony Anderson(of Blackish). Three guests all claim to be the real guest being interviewed by a panel. The real guest must tell the truth where the other imposters do not have to do so. Kids must be "truth detectives" to determine just who is the REAL Martha Washington!
Students in grades 4 and up will learn about Martha Washington with this fun and informative play. Comprehension questions, discussion questions and extension activities are included, too.

Amelia Earhart:Biographical Play(To Tell the Truth Play)

Need a quick fun Friday(or day before a vacation activity)? Try this fun and information play based on the Mark Goodson Production To Tell the Truth Game Show. To Tell the Truth was a popular television show which has returned with host Anthony Anderson(of Blackish). Three guests all claim to be the real guest being interviewed by a panel. The real guest must tell the truth where the other imposters do not have to do so. Kids must be "truth detectives" to determine just who is the REAL Amelia Earhart.
Students in grades 4-9 will have fun acting out their parts and learning some interesting facts about Amelia Earhart. Comprehension questions, discussion questions and extension activities and links are also listed.

In fact, Aida, piloted the dirigible six months before the Wright Brothers would make their historic flight. Even more amazing, she kept what she had done a secret for almost thirty years!
The reading passage includes Did You Know? fun facts, comprehension questions and a teacher page with extension activities.
