Science of Reading Assessment Tool Tracking Sheet

I created a French SOR Assessment tool to cover all the sounds for students K to 3 in the French Immersion setting (Grade 4-6 Core French) for easy assessment and evaluation. Once I got started on my own testing, I realized I could use a quick look tracking sheet.

I learned how to make the boxes editable and hope it works out for you. (I did ask a few colleagues to try it out first). I am offering it FREE for now.

How to use this product:

1. Open the resource in your preferred program (Adobe, etc)
2. Fill in student names for your classroom(s)
3. Print tracking sheets out for your own students

This is a one-page full-color game board with spaces marked in Spanish. It can be used with trivia cards, task cards, or flashcards for a quick and painless set up. My students love playing this quick game during learning centers. This game includes a version with directions printed on the board and a version without directions. Multiple uses for the cards:

• Matching: Students practice pairing the images with the words in Spanish.

• Pictionary: One student pulls a card from the deck to draw and the other students try to guess the word in Spanish.
• Conversations: Students go around and ask each other if they like the food item on their card. Once they have asked, swap cards.

An additional resource found in my store is a free passport printout for the children to design and construct. Portions of each worksheet can be cut out and pasted into the child’s passport. Or a child can create their own passport binder and collect their worksheets throughout the year to remember where they’ve been.

Get your students more motivated in class with puntos. Using these tickets with “puntos” is a great classroom management system when you want your class follow directions. I give “puntos” to my classes when students participate, use their Spanish in full sentences or when transitions are good, taking advantage of every minute that we have. At the end of each day or week we count how many points we have and if we have certain amount, we can celebrate with a “fiesta”, movie or games.

This is a set of 12 color mini-posters in Spanish that you can use to decorate your classroom or bulletin board in a fun, colorful, and educational manner. The mini-posters are 2.5" wide and 10" long and come with a title card and in two different versions (one with reflection and one without).
