6th Grade en Français Flash Cards

This basic FSL French bundle is designed to enhance conversation skills and vocabulary. With included writing and project ideas centered around favorite sports, hobbies, activities and adventure planning, students have the opportunity to practice new vocabulary both orally and in written form. This resource offers a low-prep solution for whole class discussions, partner activities, or even as a substitute plan.

Resource 3: Plan your adventure (similar to resource 4)

This French FSL resource helps to encourage speaking and writing about outdoor sports and activities. There are engaging templates included which focus on planning an outdoor adventure. Students respond orally to each question, as they add on to their “adventure” plan. This “print and go” resource takes the stress out of planning. This could also work as a step by step substitute  plan.

Students enjoy being creative as they add artwork and sentences to their paper bag backpack (templates included as well as other writing options).

Resource 4: Plan my adventure beginner to intermediate level

The final resource has several of the same features as the basic 3D paper bag backpack. This resource has more intermediate sentence structure with some editable options. Teachers can change the questions to work with their class. The printable backpack template may also be better suited for older students.

This activity bundle can be done over several classes, by starting your FSL class off each day with a question of the day. Students write a sentence each day to add to the writing templates.

This Valentine’s Day FSL French bundle has lot’s of low prep activities for February. This resource focuses on themes such as kindness, friendship and love. Many handouts could be used any day you need a print and go lesson (example: week of kindness, jar of compliments or nonfiction reading comprehension text, an explosion box gift card craft).

Resource 1:

There are 2 Nonfiction texts (“The Legend of Saint-Valentine” and  “Love Locks- The Cities do not love them”) with comprehension questions (answer key included). Students may also watch the short film  « La boîte ». There are questions for class discussion or for students to respond independently in writing. Finally, students may also become music critics as they listen to a selection of songs curated for February. A template is included to help students share their opinion on the songs.

This basic French FSL resource (Question du jour/chef du jour) helps to engage students with conversation starting photographs.  Students will all want to share their opinion while they practice simple French sentences. Immersion students can expand on responses with “parce que…”

This simple and engaging craft is versatile, making it ideal for creating heartfelt messages to recognize special people.
