This growth mindset and fixed mindset sorting activity is THE EXACT SAME PRODUCT AS SEEN HERE (except they are printed on sticky notes):

GROWTH MINDSET SORTING ACTIVITY

This sorting activity for growth and fixed mindset is perfect for any 2nd grade and UP classroom. You will find all sorting sticky notes available in full color and in black and white (as well as a set of smaller cards if teachers would like to print a set for each student).

You will also find opportunities for students to reflect on their own experiences. Each fixed mindset statement is also listed on a separate sheet so that students can practice reframing statements from fixed mindset to growth mindset.

Please note that if your students are not familiar with fixed mindset and growth mindset concepts, they will need some introductory instruction and information prior to using these sorting sticky notes.

There are 60 different statements (30 growth mindset statements and 30 fixed mindset statements).

Back to School Bookmarks for Setting Intentions with Zen Doodle Coloring Designs:

Are you looking for a positive way to start your first week of school? These bookmarks will help students set intentions for the year and keep them busy while you are scurrying to manage everything that happens on the first days of school.

NOTE: These bookmarks for setting intentions state the exact SAME intentions as these Bookmarks for Setting Intentions BUT they say, "This year..." on each bookmark to specify goals for the beginning of a new school year or the beginning of a new calendar year (New Years). If you want to be able to use them for weekly or monthly goals, please grab the other set!

This file includes the following:

• 48 unique bookmarks (12 pages of 4 bookmarks each)

In this product, students will begin to understand what words mean to others, get students to learn to actively listen to someone telling them information or telling them to complete a task, get students to verbalize more clearly, and get students to effectively communicate. Students will work with a partner by following their partners directions, and after the activity, students will evaluate the easiest part of the activity, hardest part of the activity, and answering the question why communication is important when verbalizing or interacting with others, students will read communication starters using facial expression, intonation, and tone of voice, the importance of using facial expression, intonation, and tone of voice are discussed in depth when having a conversation with others, Examples of different tones of voice are included in this product. Students will practice saying an expression a few different ways so they can understand how tone of voice is important, when we are frustrated or annoyed about something our tone of voice changes as does our intonation and facial expression, therefore, alternative strategies students can implement in their day to day routine are provided for when they feel frustrated, and when talking to others, students will learn that by listening to their conversation partner that they will understand how they are feeling based on their facial expressions, intonation, and tone of voice.

This product can be used for 4th - 8th grade, but can be used for younger or older students depending on maturity and academic level.

These editable, coloring bookmarks can be customized with student names, then colored in by students. This resource is a great time-filler, perfect for a relaxing SEL activity, and can be used as customizable desk name tags or bulletin board. It's the perfect way to welcome your students back to school or send your students off on Winter break or into summer with a sweet (and inexpensive) gift! As a teacher, this simple activity tells me a lot about my new students: who takes their time, who rushes, who can focus and persevere, etc.

This resource is a Google Slides document with 20 pages, designed with 4 bookmarks per page. Editing and printing these bookmarks is very easy. Just double click where it says name and type in a student's name. Then select your preferred font and color, and stretch the Word Art box to your desired size.

12 Day of Kindness: Random Acts of Kindness Challenge Activities for Each Kindness

This 12 Days of Kindness activity is perfect for any time of year but is particularly timely for Thanksgiving in November, any December holiday, or in February for Valentine's Day. It can be used for any grade level.

• Use these posters on a bulletin board, classroom display, counseling office, or common area in your school.
• Each student should complete four acts of kindness in each of the three categories during the course of 12 days OR you can simply use the letters that say “KINDNESS CHALLENGE” and ask students to complete as many acts of kindness as they possibly can.
• There is a page that students can use to track their progress towards 12 acts of kindness. Each column should have four ripped off papers from the kindness posters when the student has completed their 12 acts of kindness challenge. You may choose NOT to use this tracker if you want students to complete more than 12 acts of kindness.
• Many of these activities will need to be completed outside of school. This is PERFECT for homework in the month of December for the holidays or in February around Valentine’s Day. Class time can be used for discussing the acts of kindness and processing their feelings and experiences as they face and complete each act of kindness.
• Offer additional copies of the 12 Days of Kindness if students choose to go above and beyond the 12 days.
• It is best for students to rip ONE ACT OF KINDNESS AT A TIME (one for each of the 12 days). There are TEN acts of kindness per category (kindness to self, kindness to others, and kindness to earth) for a total of 30 acts of kindness.
• If students ALREADY engage in an activity or suggestion, encourage them to find something different. For example, you may have students who already use reusable water bottles every single day. They would naturally need to choose a different act of kindness in that category. The idea is to challenge themselves to do something new.
• Please note that you can CHOOSE THE TITLE for your bulletin board! Here are the choices included:
  • 12 DAYS OF KINDNESS
  • KINDNESS CHALLENGE
  • 12 DAYS OF KINDNESS CHALLENGE
