Each task card gives a number bank and 5 target answers your students must create. Using each number in the bank only one time each, students work in teams of three to create all 5 expressions by adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. It's more challenging than you might think!

A fun Halloween puzzle where students will use the numbers, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 to fill out the puzzle. Each straight line must equal 10, but you can only use each number once for each puzzle. This is a simple project, but it adds in real life scenario of what the cost is going out to eat. Students end up shocked at the cost of going out to eat! The students pick out a restaurant of their choice (can download the menu offline), "go out to eat" with three other family members, order, determine cost, sales tax and tip for a total of going out to eat for 4 people. This could be a group project with four students going out to eat and seeing what the cost is for each. Either way, it shows their decimal skills with basic math operations and gives them a new appreciation of going out to eat!
