Find Your Leprechaun Name Writing Prompt and Editable Leprechaun Character
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This resource is a St. Patrick's Day writing prompt where students will first use the charts to determine their leprechaun name and symbol based on the beginning letters in their name as well as the month that they were born. They would then complete the writing prompt using this information. The writing prompt is "Using the chart below, find your leprechaun name and symbol. Then, write a story about your life as a leprechaun or about what you would do if you were a leprechaun." Students will be excited to writing about this prompt especially after having determined their leprechaun name!
There are three styles on paper included with this to accommodate for student handwriting needs. You can choose the best that suits your students or use a mixture of the papers for individual students.
This resource also includes an editable template so that you can turn your students into leprechauns. The leprechaun characters and writing prompts would make for a great display or bulletin board as St. Patrick's Day approaches.
Use this resource as center work, a whole group activity on St. Patrick's Day, a time filler, as a writing lesson, etc.
