Looking for a Low Prep Halloween Escape Room to include in your 5th Grade Halloween Day Plans?

Your 5th graders will love this Halloween math escape room! Students embark on an exciting math journey to escape a Halloween haunted house. This takes about 15 minutes for a teacher to prep, and your students will have SO much fun solving these problems, they won't even know they are doing math!

Not teaching 5th grade this year? Check out the 3rd grade or 4th grade versions!

HOW TO PLAY:

  • Students work collaboratively in groups to find and solve six different clues.
  • Students will solve math puzzles, complete mazes, untangle comparison problems, match keys to locks, create cootie catchers with division facts, and decode secret messages.
  • Using their answers, they will find the next clue in envelopes around the room.
  • Set a timer for 45-60 minutes so students can race the clock.

LOW PREP:

  • If you're like me, you LOVE doing escape rooms with your class, but you hate the hours and hours of prep time they take!
  • This is why I've created an escape room that is HIGH fun and LOW prep! All you need is:
  • 6 large envelopes or manila folders
  • Paper/Printer
  • Glue, Scissors, and Coloring Utensils for the kids
