Students respond orally to each question, as they add on to their “adventure” plan. This “print and go” resource takes the stress out of planning. This could also work as a step by step substitute plan.
Students enjoy being creative as they add artwork and sentences to their paper bag backpack (templates included as well as other writing options).

This activity bundle can be done over several classes, by starting your FSL class off each day with a question of the day. Students write a sentence each day to add to the writing templates.

This basic core French FSL bundle helps to review vocabulary related to describing people, their physical appearance and emotions. There are templates for interviewing a partner, "investigating" one's teacher and more low prep activities.
Resource 1 Describing People

- Teacher overview and further activity suggestions
-Three culturally diverse panels of photographs for the game Guess who/Qui suis-je? Photograph panels can be shared with students to play with partners, printed (color) or used for the class to play with a projector.
-Three printable sheets with descriptions for students to match the descriptions to photos.
-Handout to help students ask questions for the activity “Twenty Questions”
-Ten hidden celebrity pictures for students to try to identify by asking “Twenty Questions”. Squares are removed as they ask each question.

Resource 2
This French Second Language FSL resource helps review basic personal questions with core French students. This is a great way to get to know your students.
Students can interview their classmates to get extra speaking practice. Next they can either write about the classmate (Tout sur ____) or about themselves with several templates to pick from (Tout sur moi!). Finally there are 24 personal basic profiles given with 3 suggested games and activities for more speaking practice with personal questions (i.e. How old are you? What is your favorite pastime?).
In addition to the pre-designed templates, there are blank options which gives more flexibility to stronger classes. There are 22 interview questions included which students can use for support while writing a paragraph. There is a simplified version also included.

French Valentine bundle writing speaking kindness friends February basic FSL

This Valentine’s Day FSL French bundle has lot’s of low prep activities for February. This resource focuses on themes such as kindness, friendship and love. Many handouts could be used any day you need a print and go lesson (example: week of kindness, jar of compliments or nonfiction reading comprehension text, an explosion box gift card craft).
Resource 1:
There are 2 Nonfiction texts (“The Legend of Saint-Valentine” and “Love Locks- The Cities do not love them”) with comprehension questions (answer key included). Students may also watch the short film « La boîte ». There are questions for class discussion or for students to respond independently in writing. Finally, students may also become music critics as they listen to a selection of songs curated for February. A template is included to help students share their opinion on the songs.

Each game comes with blank extras if you have more students than cards; however, all card sets (aside from one!) come with 27 cards. Each game also comes with an explanation and examples. Easy to print format (8.5" x 11" single-sided printing, in either B&W or in colour). Roughly 350 cards are included, so get printing, cutting and laminating for a fun school year!
