Colorful Semantics Who, What, Where, What Doing Cards
By SEN Resource Source
Colorful Semantics is a structured language intervention designed to support the development of language and communication skills, particularly in children with speech and language difficulties. This resource includes cards to help children build sentences, it includes cards that describe ‘who’, ‘what’, ‘where’ and ‘what doing’.
Why do you need this?
Colorful Semantics uses color coded cards to help children to learn the important elements of a sentence and how to join them together in the correct order. By visually representing each part of the sentence with a specific color, learners can better understand the structure and meaning of sentences, as well as the relationships between words.
How and when might you use this?
This approach is often implemented through a variety of interactive and hands-on activities, such as sentence building games, storytelling, and picture-based exercises. It can be tailored to the individual needs and abilities of learners, making it suitable for use in both classroom settings and speech and language clinics.

Thanksgiving Craft Speech Therapy | Turkey Craft | Thanksgiving Craftivity
By Learn smartly
Make speech therapy engaging and festive with this Thanksgiving Craft Speech Therapy activity! This fun Turkey Craft combines language practice with creativity, perfect for classroom or therapy sessions. Designed as a versatile Craftivity, students will enjoy creating their turkey while working on essential speech sounds like /s/ and more.
Instructions for Teachers:
Preparation:
Print the turkey template with blank or labeled feathers.
For a group activity, you can print multiple copies of the feathers with various sounds or blank spaces.
Activity Instructions:
Step 1: Choose a target sound (e.g., /t/) and have students practice saying words like “turkey” and “table.”
Step 2: As students say each word correctly, they can either color in a feather with the target sound or glue a pre-made feather onto the turkey.
Step 3: Repeat this process for different sounds, helping students to build a “Turkey Talk” with their practiced words.
Extensions:
You could create a simpler task for younger students with just a few feathers.
Use the blank feathers to personalize for different levels of speech needs (e.g., students who need to practice multisyllabic words or sentences).
Engagement Tips:
Make it interactive! Have kids “earn” each feather by correctly saying the word or sentence.
Use this activity to enhance articulation practice, vocabulary building, and gratitude discussions. It’s also great for creating a colorful bulletin board display—have students assemble their turkeys and write what they’re thankful for on the feathers!

* Cards can be returned to the container when finished to allow for additional question combinations.
What does each product come with?
* Fun engaging questions that everyone can relate to! All five senses are covered in each product (see, smell, hear, taste, touch). Each of the five senses comes with a designated board and 12 picture cards. There is also a blank board and blank cards if you'd like to create/write your own.

Active Listening: Social Emotional Learning Activity for Social Skills Group
By Specifically Sped
Introducing the "Active Listening Social Narrative: Building Whole Body Listening and Friendship Skills"! This social narrative is a valuable resource designed to promote active listening, enhance social skills, and support classroom management, particularly for individuals with autism or other social communication challenges. This engaging counseling activity encourages students to develop essential friendship skills.
The social narrative revolves around "whole body listening," which teaches students to listen with their ears and entire bodies. It emphasizes the importance of paying attention, making eye contact, facing the speaker, keeping hands and feet still, and having a focused mind. Following these guidelines, students can become active and attentive listeners, fostering positive social interactions and relationships.

Category Activity for Kids: Brainstorming Lists
This category brainstorming and sentence frames product is ideal for ESL and speech therapy students and teachers. These sentence frame prompts are based on 90 topics, people, and things.
Students can brainstorm lists within a given category, choose what they would want to be, brainstorm describing words, support their choice, and create an illustration. In addition to the 90 printables with one category per page, there are 13 pages of sentence frames that can be used for class discussions or brainstorming (7 sentence frames per page).
There is ONLY ONE ANSWER KEY for the printables, which is included solely to illustrate the format for answers. ALL ANSWERS WILL VARY WIDELY!
The goal is for students to produce a list of items in a category and then decide which one to choose**. Many categories have a wide range of acceptable answers, while others may only have a few (depending on the student’s language development, the category, the grade level, etc.). Please see the SAMPLE on the thumbnail.**
This product can be used with an entire class, insmall groups, as a warm-up, early finisher, homework, or in an interactive notebook.
Pages 95-107: There are seven sentence frames per page. I print these pages on card stock and then cut on the dotted lines. You can put them in some container or punch a hole on the left side of each card and use a ring to hold them together. These sentence frames are perfect for moments when you have one or two minutes of downtime. It doesn’t require students to brainstorm a list of items in a given category, but you can do that as part of the discussion if desired.
PLEASE NOTE: While this product is tagged for 1st-4th grade, older students who are working on language development would surely benefit from this product as well.
