This FRIENDSHIP bulletin board and activities product is perfect for any time of year! It was created for 3rd grade and above (NOTE: the bulletin board can be used in lower grades, but the vocabulary on the printables is more appropriate for students in 3rd grade and above).

  • Use this friendship display on a bulletin board, classroom display, counseling office, or common area in your school.
  • There are two choices for each letter in FRIENDSHIP. Review the choices and print the words that will work the best with your class. You can also choose to use the word FRIEND or FRIENDS in lieu of using FRIENDSHIP (perhaps your bulletin board space is limited, for example).
  • The size of the letters for the bulletin board (GOOD FRIENDS ARE…) might be too large. You can adjust the size of them when you print. The letters on the image of this product (found on the cover) are printed at 65%.

Always give your class the option to write about a family member, community member, pet, or other public figure (or someone they’d like to be their friend). If you are able to observe students while they complete the activities, it’s important to keep an eye out for students who appear uncomfortable or upset. Supporting these students might involve talking with them privately or intentionally planning subsequent activities where they can connect and interact with students.

Behavior Reflection Sheets, Anger Management & Emotional Regulation Activities

By Mrs Bell The Crafty Counselor

Behavior think sheets can be a powerful emotional regulation tool for elementary-aged students. Anger regulation, calming strategies, coping skills, and self-regulation tools are much more effective if students are in a calm state when they try to utilize their skills.

Think time allows a person to step back and reevaluate their current situation, preventing them from acting in the heat of the moment. Once calmer, children can then think of how to handle the situation from a rational perspective. The included behavior think sheets and calming strategy resources aim to do just that.

Included in this Download:

  • Keep Your Cool Posters (featuring 19 different calming strategies)
  • FlipBook for Student Use
  • Don’t Have a Meltdown Chart (19 strategies in chart form)
  • Bookmarks and Desk Charts
  • Behavior Think Sheets

Think time allows children a safe outlet to bounce around ideas of what they did, where they went wrong, and what they are going to do about it. It allows children to process the information without feeling the need to become defensive or protect themselves. They can problem solve and come up with their own solutions, allowing for tremendous personal growth and development!

Think time allows everyone to take a step back, think about what happened, and why it didn’t work, as well as provide time to brainstorm solutions. This is a very effective coping skill that we should instill in our young people as early as possible. The quicker they are able to think about emotionally charged situations from a rational perspective, the better off they will be in life.

Let’s teach our students how to keep their cool and not have a meltdown by giving them the tools to step back from emotionally charged situations, evaluate possible solutions, and react from a rational place.
