This is all of my fraction resources that I use with my 6th graders.

These basic and repetitive fractions worksheets will work well for students who need extra practice. The fractions activities cover many aspects of understanding fractions. Spending extra time on identifying fractions (understanding fractions as numbers) before moving on to topics like fractions on a number line and equivalent/comparing fractions and word problems is important to build their skills.

Kids will practice and learn:

• Understand simple fractions notation (with numerator and denominator) using fraction bars and circle models.
• Represent, identify, and understand fractions using circle models and fraction bars.
• Shade equal parts of circle models and fraction bars.
• Practice identifying and shading fractions using different geometric 2D shapes.
• Naming fractions using words.
• Decompose fractions into unit fractions.
