This 98 page resource is an engaging and comprehensive unit that allows your students to respond to the story by using a wide range of reading comprehension strategies and skills.

Then, use small sticky notes on top of each symbol. Students can draw each of the symbols on the sticky notes. As they read, they will place the sticky notes in their books.

You can regroup after reading and use the sticky notes to lead your discussion about the chapter or book.
