How do you keep track of your student's birthdays? I print and laminate these cards, use a wet-erase marker, and write the date of the student's birthday and the student's name. I then post them on a wall in my classroom. The students love looking at the month and seeing whose birthday is coming up. When the year is over - just wipe them with a wet paper towel or baby wipe and they are ready to go for next year!

An outline of the house, roof, chimney, tree, ornaments, gifts, and other decorations are included. Your students will need scissors and glue. I would recommend also having them clue everything onto a piece of construction paper.

Writing Activity

The writing activity can be used as a way to integrate this with ELA. There are 2 different writing activity papers. One is for younger students (k-2) with larger lines, and students can describe their house with basic adjectives like the color and shape. The other is for older students (3-5) with less space between the lines, and students can describe their house, going into more detail with their description and even describing why they chose to design it the way they did!
