Halloween How to Writing activity. This can be used for differentiation within your classroom. There is one graphic organizer where students can draw out their ideas and write a small sentence of what they drew. The second graphic organizer has students begin with an introduction, list three steps, and a conclusion. You can use both for the planning stages, students will just need to combine two of their drawings for one step.

These graphic organizers are a great resource to use when reading content, taking class notes, for formative assessment, or incorporating into other assignments and activities. These can be used on a daily basis and in a variety of settings. Ready-to-pint!

It has been proven that students who are able visually to organize the content retain it better. These 10 organizers will teach students how visually organize the information presented in social studies, science, math, and language arts. I use these on a daily basis to help students learn how to organize the material being covered. The T-Note organizer is a great training tool to use in teaching students how to create clear and neat notes. It also encourages students to inquire. Once you purchase these, you will be able to save them to your computer and tweak them to use in your classroom.

This resource is an introduction to natural disasters. It contains five informational reading passages about natural disasters. It was made for the NGSS 3-ESS3-1 and 4-ESS3-2 Earth and Human Activity Standards. It covers the following

natural disasters:

Hurricanes

Tornadoes

Volcanoes

The passages were written with third graders in mind, but the information is very interesting and complex and would be useful for upper grades as well.

There is a tips sheet for teachers and two recording sheetsfor students. One recording sheet is a graphic organizer for students to fill in as they read. The other one asks them to draw and label the natural disaster they have studied.

These are great to use with the whole class, in small groups, with partners, and even at centers!

Students can draw, describe, predict, and then identify up to 5 different types of seeds using this simple graphic organizer.
