Kids love to study the life cycle of butterflies! My students have studied them enthusiastically for years. I have taken these pictures of the monarch and created posters to share with you. Enjoy! Using these science phenomenon photos is a great way to introduce many of the NGSS. There are 27 different photos; with at least one per standard. The standards are listed at the top of each sheet. This life cycle resource is aligned to the NGSS. There is a link to a great Youtube video showing the initial stages of the Wood Frog's Life Cycle. A graphic organizer for students to fill out as they watch and discuss is included. There is an informative read about the Wood Frog itself. It would be a good independent read for eight, nine, and ten-year-olds, and the perfect read-aloud for younger children. A poster for each stage of a frog's development is included (frogs in general-not a Wood Frog). There are several follow-up worksheets included.

This resource is an introduction to natural disasters. It contains five informational reading passages. It was made for the NGSS 3-ESS3-1 and 4-ESS3-2 Earth and Human Activity Standards.
