** Are you looking for a resource to teach students to understand temporal concepts or are you Teaching sequence of events, Following directions or Sentence writing?  These syntax activities will teach your students how to understand 25, higher level temporal concepts (prior to, simultaneous, thereafter). It is a simple drill in which students are provided with a small scenario containing the word and asked to determine the meaning of the concept.**

You will receive a 26 Slide Lesson which contains the lesson and one Assessment worksheet to print.

The Lesson works well with older students (Grades 6- 10)  or with students who have mild  cognitive delays yet good language skills. An independent lesson will take about 30 minutes however if you are using it as a teaching tool during instruction the lesson can easily fill 60 minutes with breaks in between for group discussion. When I use this lesson with my Speech classroom it takes two  30 minute sessions and 60 minutes total.

Where Stories Come Alive✎

Use this slideshow to let your ELL students present their scary stories with a fun backdrop! This also goes over student expectations while presenting as well as sentence frames for peer feedback.

Use these conference slips to have your ELL students use before and during your writing conference throughout the writing process. You can use the Halloween themed slip or the editable Google Doc.

This ESL ELD resource is great for listening practice and analysis for your ELL students as well as writing.
