Writing an Arctic Animal Research Report Graphic Organizer, Example, & Template

Writing an Arctic animal research report can be a fun and interesting project for your students. This provides them with the opportunity to learn about an Arctic animal that interests them and share it with their peers! This packet includes information to share with your students about what an Arctic animal research report is, topic ideas, why an Arctic animal research report is written, what is shared in an Arctic animal research report, who the audience will be, how the completed Arctic animal research report will be published, rules to follow when writing an Arctic animal research report, where to locate information and the possible sources one could find when completing an Arctic animal research report, opening paragraph tips to hook the reader, tips that make a great Arctic animal research report, and an idea that shows the structure of an Arctic animal research report are included in this product.
An example of three possible writing topics, a completed KWL chart, and a brainstorming chart that will serve as a guide when writing the rough draft of the Arctic animal research report are included in this product. An example of a rough draft on the Arctic animal, narwhals, and an example of the sources that were used to write this Arctic animal research report are also provided to help support students and serve as a guide to help them when writing their own rough draft. Templates are included after the example along with a rough draft template and reminder checklist, so students remember to go back and check their work once it is completed.

As students are learning the difference between singular and plural nouns, coming up with sentences using those nouns is our next step. My students love booklets of any kind that they can refer back to. Once they have come up with their sentences, they will include pictures that they print and cut out, draw pictures freehand, or find pictures in a magazine that they can add to each page of the booklet to connect with what they wrote about. This gives students the opportunity to connect what they are learning about in the classroom with their own personal interests. This booklet is perfect for students that are on grade level as well as students who require instructional information to be adapted.

Writing a story is a perfect project that gives students time to use their imagination and share it with others. This packet includes information to share with your students about what a story is, why we write a story, and who we write a story for. This packet also includes an example showing the process that is used to write a story and the steps that are taken to add onto a story to be sure it includes a beginning, middle and end. On the last few pages, it includes a template to help students come up with possible story ideas, write about the characters, setting, and plot of a story, and space to write a rough draft as well as a final draft.

Writing about How to Solve a Problem is an important writing project that gives students the time to write about a problem they had to solve or are currently trying to solve. This product sets the foundation for having students learn about simple and advanced problem solving skills that so many students. Once they are finished with their masterpiece, they can share it with their friends and family members. This packet includes information to share with your students about why we write to solve a problem, what steps to follow when writing to solve a problem - state the problem, ask questions, come up with a list of resources, summarize the actions taken to solve the problem, and a solution which shares the decision that was made to solve the problem. Deaf Education - Writing Characters, Setting, and Plot Ideas

As our students are completing written assignments, sometimes coming up with characters, a setting, and a plot is difficult. With this product students are provided with a lengthy list of female names, male names, and gender neutral names to choose from, possible setting ideas that also include words that focus on the time of day, time of year, days of the week, and months. This packet also provided plot ideas for a variety of writing assignments such as story ideas about life, science fiction, adventure, mystery, fantasy, funny stories, friendship, superhero, family, and animal story ideas. Students do not have to use the examples provided or even the characters names, but it does provide them with a boost of confidence to pick their own topic.

Writing an informational essay is an important writing project that gives students time to conduct research on a specific topic that is of interest to them. Once they are finished with their masterpiece, they can share it with their friends and family members. This packet includes information to share with your students about what informational writing is, why we complete informational writing tasks, what steps to follow when writing the introduction, subtopics, and conclusion, and how to make our writing flow so that it makes sense to the reader, and tips to look for when rereading and editing. This packet also includes an example showing the process that is used to complete a informative writing assignment. Text Elements Examples and Review

Students will complete this magazine text elements project by reviewing the following text features: table of contents, index, headings, subheading, captions, bold words, illustrations/photographs, comparisons, glossary, labels, and graphs/charts/diagrams. Students will use a magazine of their choice/one that is assigned to complete this product. Students will answer questions about each of the text features throughout the product and will then be required to complete their own research and answer the questions provided.
