3rd Grade World Languages Lesson

This is a short story for beginning Spanish students to review food as well as to learn new target vocabulary: hay un gato, se llama, tiene una idea, no le gusta, le encanta, come, está triste, está contento.

I teach this story using TPRS.

This set includes nine documents in a zip file for easy printing:

3. Color story with no words (great for students to retell the story)

7. Cut out pictures to tell the story on a flannel or magnetic board

Holiday themed flashcards are included to help with simple speaking activities such as design your own gingerbread house. There are also various drawing activities. This resource is versatile for whole-class, partner, or station-based activities.
