Catch the Fireflies Sight Word Game - 2nd Grade

By A Teachers Sidekick

This is a game to help students practice their sight words. These sight words are 2nd grade level words.

This product will take some prep.

Other materials you will need are: Popsicle Sticks, Glue/Tape, and Scissors

There are 46 2nd grade sight words in this product.

Between 1 to 4 students can play this game. To play the game, you will need to lay out the fireflies with the words facing up. Have students sit or stand beside each other with the nets in their hands, holding them all in the same position (so no one tries to cheat). Then call out a word. Students will race to find and catch the fireflies with the word on it first. Whichever student catches the firefly first, take that firefly and add it to their pile. Once all the fireflies are caught, have students count up how many they have. Whoever has the most wins!

Months and Days Cut and Paste Activities

By Love Learning Languages - French Resources

✮ Months and Days Cut and Paste Activities ✮

These cut and paste worksheets will help your primary students and beginner ESL students to learn the days of the week and the months.

How to use these worksheets:

One worksheet is included for the days of the week and the 12 months are on two sheets. Have your students cut off the bottom part of the worksheet where indicated with scissors. Then have them cut out the days and months. Now they're ready to paste the days and months in the right spot on the paper. They should put the days and months in chronological order. Next to each numbered space there are lines where students write out the days and months to help with spelling. When they've finished they'll enjoy coloring the numbers and the little black and white image at the top of the page. See the preview for a closer look!

This activity is part of my months and days bundle.

Available in 3 languages:

⭐ English months and days cut and paste activity - ELA - ESL - ELL

⭐ French months and days cut and paste activity - Les jours et les mois
