This a Power Point to practice the -ug word family. Students will see a picture to discuss, then the beginning sound will zoom in and then the end sound will zoom in to combine into a word (with sounds). One more click will give you a sentence using the specific -ug word. Words included are: bug, dug, hug, jug, lug, mug, pug, rug, tug, chug, drug, plug, shrug, slug, and snug. You can use many reading and ESL strategies with this PP. These can be printed in black and white as flashcards, but just so you know the beginning sound is separate from the ending sound.
