This is a 1-page activity with answer key (which is 3 pages, for easier reading). Page count includes info and contact pages.

SOME NOTES

This is meant as a pre- or post-assessment. Sometimes English is tricky (okay, more than sometimes).

VERBS:

Words like "don't" appear in this story activity, and as a contraction and auxiliary verb, I am not counting it as a verb learners will easily identify. If someone does circle it as a verb, then kudos to them! Maybe they get extra credit!

Any other words that take similar forms or that may cause discrepancy may appear, but the answer key shows the words I meant to be correct.

Use discretion when assessing students, as some words may not be on most students' radar.

NOUNS:

At least twice, a proper noun appears. "Distance" and "there" are also included as nouns, albeit spatial and almost abstract ones. "Past" also is included as a noun, a time-based one that may not easily be spotted. I am not including pronouns (you, we, etc.) as nouns in this case.

ADJECTIVES:

"Folding" could trip some learners up since it in many cases is a verb, but in the story's example, it's acting as an adjective (folding chairs). If anyone circles it as a verb, I say it's up to you whether you count it as such, but keep consistent between students. Otherwise, it's fairly straightforward and there aren't many.

This is a cute craft to go along with any Thanksgiving or Harvest Theme! Step by step instructions are included with pictures so the directions are easy to follow. There are two variations for this craft, depending on the time you have to complete this craft and the fine motor skills of the students in your class. This craft would make a great display to decorate your classroom, door or hallway. ****************UPDATED 11/6/17**************** This update was to include a second craft idea to use with the corn template. There are now two sets of instruction pages for two different corn crafts.

Welcome your students back from winter break with a fun array New Year themed Google Classroom assignment. First, there is a video reviewing arrays for students to watch. Students can then manipulate images on the slides to create an array and then type the multiplication equation that goes with the array. There are 5 examples for students to complete, each with a different New Year theme picture to use for the array.

The Google Slide file is embedded as a link that will create a new copy for you in your Google Drive. It can then be shared with students or posted on Google Classroom.
