WHY? Fractions and decimals can be a challenging concept for students. By explicitly teaching academic math vocabulary for fraction and decimal terms, you’re providing students with the tools they need to be successful.

Mastering fraction and decimal vocabulary will prevent student misconceptions and help students feel more comfortable discussing and explaining their thinking during your fraction & decimal unit.
