3rd Grade Character Education Cultural Activities

This resource focuses on the story "The Colors of Us" by Karen Katz. It includes the tools you need to teach students about skin color and how to love and appreciate the way that they're made. Use these materials to get your students realizing how special their color is.

• This resource was made specifically to use "Colors Around the World" Crayola multicultural crayons (24 pack).
• 7 printable activities available in full-page activity worksheets
• Cards for students to write their special color on and keep in their pencil boxes for the year. Students can remember their exact skin color when they/peers want to draw a portrait.
• Engaging whole group movement activities.
• ELA focused materials to go along with the story "The Colors of Us."
• Bulletin board decor to go along with the theme "The Colors of Us."
