Jeux des 7 Familles - Bundled French Resources
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
Jeux des 7 Familles - Bundled French Resources
Le jeu des sept familles - These classic card games are fun for students of all ages! Easy prep literacy activities for independent work during differentiated reading instruction! This bundle will save you 30%.
Each of the 7 "families of cards" begins with one of the following, and conjugations in the present tense are used in the JE - TU - IL - NOUS - VOUS - ILS forms.
Each game includes:
How to play
42 playing cards to print on heavy paper or card stock
This card game is an excellent way to practice and memorize verb conjugations and other fun French topics. It will have your students speaking to each other in French the whole time! They will make affirmative and negative statements and will use EST-CE QUE to form simple questions.
One player distributes five cards to each player (2 to 4 per group). The rest of the cards are placed in the "pioche". One player begins the game by asking another player to give him a card. He or she might say, "Est-ce que tu as froid?"
The goal is to come up with complete families. The different verbs represent the families. There are 6 cards to a family (JE - TU - IL - NOUS- VOUS - ILS). Students will find it helpful to group together the cards that have the same picture at the top (flower, flip-flops, etc.) If the player doesn't have it, he says "pioche". If he draws the card that he asked for, he can continue to play and ask someone for another card. Each time a player comes up with all six members of a family, he can make a stack. At the end of the game, the player with the most sets of families wins!

J'ai - Qui a - French Themed Vocabulary Games Bundle
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
Want your French students to have some fun learning themed vocabulary from the chapters you study? Are you looking for a fun way for them to review vocabulary they've already learned? J'ai - Qui a is the perfect game to keep your students engaged!
This activity is a fun way to encourage your beginner to intermediate students to keep up with the vocabulary they learn. You can pull out these cards and use them as ice-breakers, bell-ringers, French club activities, games and much more.
Depending on class size you could either give each student more than one card or have them play with a partner. I recommend printing out and laminating these cards if possible so that you can use them over and over again.
Here's how this game works. Once each student has a card (or cards), the one who has the card that says JE COMMENCE starts the game.
He says, for example: Je commence. J'ai le pantalon. Qui a les chaussures?
The person who has the card with shoes on it says, J'ai les chaussures. Qui a le costume?
The game continues until the last card is called and that student's card will say, J'ai fini!
Another idea is to prepare two sets of cards, divide your class into two groups and let each group have a go to see which team can get through the entire deck of cards the fastest. It's really a lot of fun, and though you can play with younger students the older ones love this game just as much.
The number of cards included depends on the set:
