Common and Proper Nouns Task Cards:

These Common and Proper Nouns Task Cards and Anchor Charts are Common Core aligned for 2nd and 3rd grade and include:

• three instructional pages
• 36 task cards with varying questions
• an answer sheet
• an answer key

You can use the instructional pages for review or an introduction to nouns.

Dictionary Skills:

Dictionary Skills Worksheets - This easy to use dictionary skills anchor charts and task cards product is a fun way for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders to practice using the functional parts of a dictionary and the skills needed to use a dictionary. Each skill is described on anchor charts or instructional pages and includes:

• guide words
• phonetic spelling
• parts of speech
• syllabication
• definitions

Every component of dictionary skills and dictionary use are included in this product.

24 dictionary skills task cards require students to identify the word that shows up on a page between two guide words in the dictionary.

The other 12 task cards ask students to use what they know about the parts of a dictionary to answer the questions. Answer sheets are included as well as answer keys.

Comparative and Superlative Adjectives:

This ordering adjectives task cards activity now includes a digital distance learning option in Google Slides and Google Forms. Please refer to the final 7 pages of the product for links and instructions.

This comparative and superlative adjectives activity is perfect for 2nd and 3rd grade students learning about degrees of comparison.

In this comparative and superlative adjectives activity, you will find:

• three instructional pages (adding endings when comparing adjectives, spelling rules, and irregular adjectives)
• 36 task cards (18 task cards are multiple choice and ask the student to choose the correct form of the adjective and 18 task cards are fill in the blank where students are required to determine the correct form of the adjective)
• an answer sheet
• an answer key

Reference Sources:

These reference sources task cards and posters are perfect for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. The posters and task cards cover information related to the following reference materials:

• thesaurus
• encyclopedia
• dictionary
• atlas
• newspaper

The packet includes:

• three instructional pages (each poster contains two reference source explanations and can be used as anchor charts)
• 36 task cards

Singular and Plural Nouns:

This singular and plural nouns activity is perfect for your 2nd or 3rd grade classroom! The questions in this file provide more support on the front end and then gradually increase in difficulty.

This file contains:

• six NOUNS instructional pages (which include the seven spelling rules, as well as irregular noun forms)
• two irregular nouns study sheets
• 36 singular and plural nouns task cards
• an answer sheet
• an answer key

A gradual release of responsibility is embedded in this activity, as students are first asked to choose the correct singular or plural noun (two choices), then asked to choose between four choices, and then asked to produce the correct singular or plural noun on their own and identify it as singular or plural.

The singular and plural noun instructional pages can also be printed and used as posters for reference in the classroom.

As of 6/2/20, this product includes a digital option (as well as the no prep printable option). The instructions for utilizing the digital portion appear at the end of the packet.

Technology Requirements:

• A Google Drive account
• If sharing with students, a Drive account that is linked to student Google accounts
• Can be shared/delivered on Google Classroom
• Only need access to Google Drive--no outside links to worry about!

These file can be used with iPads, chrome books, laptops, and desktops as long as your students have access to Google Drive or Classroom on a device. The digital portion of this product is on Google Slides™ and Google Forms™.
