The use of community helpers naturally elicits present tense verbs, while also providing opportunity for vocabulary development. Start by producing short sentences with community helper flashcards, then advance skills by using fill-in-the-blank sentence worksheets, sentence writing worksheets, and reading comprehension worksheets.

Students with language learning difficulty and some English language learners may have difficulty knowing when to add an 's' on the end of a verb (to indicate 3rd person singular.) What is Included:

These 3 piece puzzles feature the word's definition on the top piece, the root word on another piece and the prefix or suffix on the 3rd piece. There are 48 puzzles in this set.

English language learners, and others, often need extra practice with irregular verb forms. With 20 different verbs that are irregular in the past tense, this self-checking activity gives students the opportunity to practice answering past tense questions correctly. Students complete the answer on each card in the past tense by typing the correct form of the verb in the question.

There are a total of 40 Clip Cards which many include a visual to support students to determine the appropriate pronoun. These clip cards are great to identify and explore which pronoun applies. With these clip cards, students are encouraged to choose the following pronoun.

HE – SHE – IT - THEY

Pronouns are words that take the place of a Noun. For example “he, she, it, they”.

Students simply use a peg or clip to identify each individual answer on the clip cards. In addition, there is a Pronoun poster which explains pronouns further.
