Using a Montessori work plan or journal with your K-3 students will encourage goal setting and self reflection. They will learn to self-evaluate, and make intentional decisions about their work. This work plan is super low prep and includes both a cursive and a print version, as well as completed example booklets, which are useful when first teaching students how to use the work plans.  

Your students will start the week by setting goals. Then each day they’ll record what they worked on. I created different phrases for you to choose from on your “classroom info” board and labeled what pages you would need to print out according to what phrase you would like to use.

I also created a couple design ideas to help get your creativity flowing as you decorate your classroom into the perfect jungle!

Classroom Rotation Center Signs:

I would print these center signs out and then laminate them. You can then place velcro dots on each sign. For example, if you only want #4 students in the library at a time. I would place #4 velcro dots on that center sign. Then during rotations, they can use their name or a picture of them to move to the center they want to be in. Once each velcro dot is full they will know they have to go to a different center until another student moves to a different activity. This helps you know where each student was when it’s time to clean up and helps students practice taking turns as well as helps keep centers from getting too overcrowded.
