This word search puzzle contains 43 words of vocabulary related to Columbus day, it is designed to help students make sense of the story of Christopher Columbus and his journey to the Americas in 1492.

Through this activity, students will show increased vocabulary and understanding of why Columbus Day celebrations occur in the United States.

The words may be hidden in any direction (including diagonally but not backward) and there may be some overlap. This makes for a somewhat challenging puzzle. Lots of classroom fun is guaranteed.
