Addition Math Facts Games First Grade SUPERHERO Game Activities
By Primary Piglets
Addition Facts Race to Win Game; SUPERHERO Set includes many versions of the "Race to Win" or also called "Race to 3" game. This game is great for math stations/centers. My students LOVE this station. I love that they get addition fact fluency practice throughout the year, the more they play the better they learn their facts!
------ SIMPLIFY YOUR TEACHING, GET YOURS TODAY! -------
This is a partner game (I usually put it in one of my math stations, and change it out with different holiday versions). Taking turns the students roll 2 die, add the sum, color in a box on their game sheet. Students can also DAB IT with a bingo dauber if you choose. The first one to capture 3 pictures wins! All games are the same Game, just with different pictures to capture. This allows you to change out the games often throughout the month and keep things fresh. Or, just go with the mixed game for the entire time.

IDEAS FOR USE:
•This is a FAVORITE of my class no matter what time of year (they love a good competition) and a quick and easy practice so they don’t forget their addition facts. Early in the year I often use dice with dots on them, so those that need to still count the dots can do so. Later in the year I switch out the dice for number cubes. Or you can use one of each.
•Run a set in BLACK & WHITE and place in a math center/station bucket. Place some dice in the basket for quick access. Students each need a different colored crayon.
•DAB IT – This can easily be played with a Bingo Dauber, each student chooses their own color.
•COLORED LAMINATED COPIES – I tried to make these colorful but yet not to use too much ink. The colorful games are so enticing and you don’t have to continue to make copies. Place a set of laminated game boards in a math center/station. Or, run on cardstock for thickness and slide into a plastic sleeve. Add some dice. Students can use dry erase markers to X their boxes, circling the picture when they capture it. OR They can use 2 different colors of unifix cubes to fill in their spaces.

Number Bonds Board Game Galaxy Quest
By LittleStreams
This game can be bought with 4 other board games for the price of buying just 3. Click here to see our Board Game Bundle
Galaxy Exploration is a Board Game that emulates Snakes & Ladders to help students exercise a knowledge of Number Bonds to 10 and 20. However, unlike Snakes & Ladders, we have added some other interesting elements to make a more competitive and fun game overall.
The game pack comes with 6 playable boards. Four are playable with either a 10-sided dice or the included spinner. Two are playable ONLY with a 6-sided dice just in case you need it. Of those six, half do not feature the Black Holes and Portals (Snakes and Ladders) to make a much faster game which is still great for the learning of Number Bonds.
In addition, the boards include 'Habitable Planets' and 'Gravity Slingshots', which force the player to take an extra turn, or miss a turn. A fun change from the norm!
If printed in full-colour, and laminated, the game will last for a very long time. The construction of this product is professional and clear and looks beautiful on thick card.

2 pages with 3 addends
1 page with Missing Addends Sums of 10
1 page with Missing Addends
1 page with Mixed Practice
1 page with Doubles and Doubles +1
Black & White Copies:
Print Gameboards B&W, 2 crayons, & provide spinner. Partners take turns. You are not moving markers around the gameboard as in a normal board game, just follow the path and take your turn answering questions. On your turn, spin spinner, if for example you spin 2, answer the first 2 spaces, if answered correctly color in your 2 spaces with your color. (second chances may be determined before the game starts) If answered incorrectly partner may attempt to answer correctly and color the space their color. If both players are incorrect, leave space uncolored or continue to take turns until answered correctly (get out the manipulatives to prove your answer). Then the turn goes to the next player, continue in this manner around the gameboard. When you reach the end, each player counts the number of spaces they colored to determine the winner.
Colored (Laminated) Copies:
Follow the directions above, but instead of coloring in spaces, use colored cubes for each player to leave behind on their spaces along the path. When finished they can count their cube color to determine the winner.

Addition and Subtraction Column Method | KaBoom Cards
By LittleStreams
These KaBoom cards are a fun way to practice addition and subtraction using column methods, with differentiation built in. Players choose whether they want to choose an easier question (red), but will receive less points for their correct answer, or risk a more challenging question (green) and gain greater rewards.
The red cards consist of questions involving two digit addition and subtraction with no carry over or borrowing (two questions in the red require carrying over to the tens digit). The Yellow Cards consist of three digit addition and subtraction involving carry over and borrowing. The Green Card consists of addition and subtraction involving decimals, where lining up of the digits is crucial.
Begin by laying all the cards out face down (so you see only the number of points they are worth). Players take turns to select a card, either red, yellow or green. The difficulty of the questions will increase. They may also pick up either a Steal Card, giving them a chance to steal from any other player, a Shield, which protects them from the next KaBoom, and KaBoom cards which means you lose all your collected points so far.
Play as a whole class in teams, or print multiple copies to play in small groups around the table. If students get the answer incorrect, or they need some help, use your judgement as to whether you will allow them another guess or not. Questions answered incorrectly go in the ‘house’ pile, along with any cards lost in a KaBoom. At the end of the game, add up the ‘house’ pile. The winner is the player or team with the highest points (including any shield cards that have been unused). The house can win.
Included are two copies of the game; one designed for a double sided printer and one designed for single sided printing where you need to turn over the pages yourself to print double sided.
Full instructions are included as are answers.
